  1. Writing in tongues is one of the most strange things that I have learned from John. It is no wonder that those white-washing the history never talk about such things. Also, the going to China thing speaking in tongues and it does not work. Welcome to revisionist history with lying by only telling parts of the story.

  2. All the signs and wonders that Christians get so excited about have been going on all over the world, in many different religions and in no religions. This is what people do when the circumstances are condusive for it happen.

  3. I can answer that question @ 2.20
In the Holy scriptures the speaking 'with tongues' or rather speaking a different language was speaking a known earthly human language of the times. As in Latin or Greek or Aramaic or Parthian or any of the other known ones that are mentioned in Acts 2.
They were speaking real languages of the world that other people spoke.

The reason it is called an unknown language is that is was unknown to the person who had received the gift.
Unknown to them from their own mother tongue/language.
My mother tongue for me is English, if God wanted me to speak the gospel to a person who speaks French and He gave me the gift of speaking other languages/tongues, then I would speak to that person in French without being previously taught that language/tongue.
Include that context and meaning to every language and it is simply the truth.

God is not the author of confusion as Paul says and yet Paul spoke other languages/tongues for than anyone.
You are correct it is the KJV that muddied the waters with the wording.
Even Irenaeus translates the word as 'languages' back in the 2nd century AD as the gift was still continuing but diminishing.
The gift of 'tongues/languages' diminished because the gospel was being spread around the world because of the Christians converting them by speaking to them in their own language.

It's rather simple but it is humans with all the deception from the devil that makes Christians believe that it is a mystical utterance from heaven. Satan deceives people and he is very good at it but what stops us from being deceived?
    The truth!
Yes those fake gibberish, repetitive in-coherent speak is demonic and straight from the enemies pit. That's why is shows up for thousands of years amongst the mystical and occult religions.

How do you know the tree?
    By it's fruit.
One was/is a real gift from heaven the other is the deception from hell.

When Paul says 'If I speak the tongues/languages of men and angels…..'
Many take this as 'see it's a heavenly language'
    Wrong.
How does an angel speak to humans?
How did the angel speak to Moses and Moses understood?
Because that angel spoke to Moses in Hebrew.
Same with Paul in prison, how did that angle speak to Paul and he understood?
The angel spoke to Paul with the language that he could understand.

How do we entertain angels unaware if they do not speak our language?
    Not possible.
How can they relay a message to you from God if they do not speak your language/tongue.

Again God is not the author of confusion but of peace and love and a sound mind.
The very reason for the gifts was to spread the gospel through out the entire world and it did.

  4. Year 1796 in Finnish countryside, far away from the nearest town and church, group of simple laymen who didn't know anything about glossolalia, started suddenly to speak in tongues during their workday on the harvesting. It started a mighty revival.

  5. Dude, just call it for what it is, WITCHCRAFT. Thats why blacks are attracted to this pentecostal "movement" because it chimes with their "roots" and what they do in africa!

  6. At the beginning of the video, it almost sounded like you were given or attributing a work of God, and speaking in tongues to the devil possessed. And in regards to recognizing the dialect of speaking another tongues when they received it in act chapter 2, they also recognize the exact same thing and act chapter 10 with a Gentiles for they heard them speak another tongues so I make no apologies to what the Bible says, and my own experience when I receive the Holy Ghost and spoken another tongues, which I was told a forehand before I received it. It was because I believed on him that is Jesus as the scripture has said, and what flowed out of me believing that God would give me the gift and the promise so he did I come in defense of what the word of God said and I make no apologies for that.

  7. Speaking in tongues doesn’t have to be popularized or non-popular to be true. But it is the spirit of truth in the Bible. If you don’t preach in certain assemblies, the necessity for receiving the Holy Ghost you won’t get it. Jesus made it very clear if you believe on him as the scripture has said that is the key. So if ministers don’t preach this today and people aren’t seeking the Holy Ghost they’re not gonna receive it that’s why it takes a book of acts church to preach the stuff that has identity with the Bible rather than the traditions of men.

  8. Writing in tongues is like a mockery of the gift of the spirit and there is no holy word of God that mentions anything about writing in tongues anybody who would believe this stuff would also believe in false doctrine. This is the problem in modern day Christianity. We need to stick with what the Bible says, not adding to it and not taking away from it, but rather rightly dividing the word of truth

  9. Pentecostals and/or Charismatics are not speaking in tongues ←(plural), they are babbling in tongue ←(singular).
Pagans have been babbling to their heathen gods in tongue since the dawn of time and countless millions who do not even claim to be Christians continue doing so today. The only difference between those pagans and the ones who claim to be Christians is that the former do not blaspheme The Holy Spirit by attributing their babbling to God.

Jesus Christ explicitly forbids the pagan practice of babbling prayer in tongue using the onomatopoeic word βατταλογησητε, which literally means babble meaningless sounds:

"Προσευχομενοι δε μη βατταλογησητε ωσπερ οι εθνικοι" or "When praying, do not babble vain sounds like the pagans"

Furthermore, the entirety of 1 Corinthians is a scathing condemnation of the most dysfunctional group of supposed believers the world would see for nearly two millennia and Chapter 14 is certainly no exception. I recommend reading the text with the knowledge that Paul is making a clear distinction between babbling in tongue (singular), which he explicitly denies ever doing as he completely buries the practice, and speaking in tongues (plural), which are actual languages that not even one Pentecostal/Charismatic has ever miraculously spoken.
    Example:

    14) For if I prayed in TONGUE, my spirit would be praying but my understanding would not benefit.

    15) What therefore is it?

I will pray with my spirit and I will also pray with my understanding. I will sing with my spirit and I will also sing with my understanding.

    14) Paul states that IF he were to babble prayer in TONGUE, it would be HIS spirit (NOT The Holy Spirit) but that babbling in TONGUE is unbeneficial.

    15) Paul then reaffirms his assertion by explicitly stating that he prays/sings WITH HIS SPIRIT AND WITH HIS UNDERSTANDING, rather than babbling unbeneficial prayers/songs in TONGUE.

  10. It is a serious omission that within several blocks of the Azusa Street revival there was a different group of people, who also spoke in tongues, who had been peasants in Armenia. They were told by a homegrown prophet, who had spent hours a day in prayer since childhood, that those who left their village to come to where he identified on a map he drew, which showed they should move to Los Angeles. The prophet was illiterate and had never seen a map before, yet he accurately drew a map that showed the location of Los Angeles.

The drawing of a map without any knowledge of maps could be an example of Spirit-led writing. I don't know if there is any significance to the writings that were taught by Charles Fox Parham. However, there are instances of people using other parts of their bodies other than there tongues. For instance I was told that multiple people on one occasion sat down at the piano during a service and played the piano like a professional. She did not play piano at all and never again played piano. I also was told that a woman dancing in the spirit was doing an American Indian dance step for step that he had seen performed many times. My father said that when he went to Bible school that missionaries would tell different students that they were speaking in a language that they had learned to minister in, and that often the student would be called to that mission field. I have also noted that when a person began to speak in tongues that they spoke Arabic, and that person was a missionary in a Islamic countries for several years.

The Armenian prophet said that all the people in the village who moved would be safe and those who didn't would all die. Those Armenian peasants who emigrated not only were safe, they became wealthy. Those who didn't move were all killed by the Young Turks, also known as the Three Pashas, who carried out the Armenian genocide which killed about 1/3 of Armenians living in Turkey. Demos Shakarian founder of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship was of this group, which I believe left their home when he was a child. Better known are the Kardashians, who have lived in the United States now for several generations. There are still some of the descendants of the original Armenian village who have remained closer to the faith of their forebearers than the Kardashians have, but the financial blessing for obedience has still lasted.

This Armenian group already in Los Angeles and nearby never met any of the people connected with the Azusa Street revival, as far as is known, but I think the presence of the tongue talking Armenians in the area may have contributed to the effectiveness of the Azusa Street revival. Someone from the Azusa Street revival came to London, Kentucky in 1906 and a revival also follow there in 1906-1907. I knew some of those people in my childhood and teenage years as several were members of my father's Assembly of God church he pastored he London, Kentucky, which was a spin off of the original church. .

  11. I have been speaking in tongues for over 37 years now, and i thank God for that gift to me!!! People who question God gift I laugh at you??? Why because i belive you have not receive the holy Spirit by faith you are buff up with flesh and not of the Spirit of God. But i thank God for you that you say its rubbish.
But you read Hebrews 4:12 and read thats God word is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective], its is sharper than any two- edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [ deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. And furthere more read in Ephesians 6:17-18 and take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
With all prayer and petition pray [with specific request], at all times [on every occasion and every season] in the spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [ interceding in prayer] for all Gods people.
And i say for those who cancel out speaking in the gifts of tongues for what do you know, but i say that has God Holy Spirit lives in me i shall pray more in the spirit and speak to my father in heaven than listen to those who have no spirit in them.
