Probably the most difficult video from Curry I've watched and the hardest to understand. I thought salvation was a free gift from God and that we are saved by grace and through faith in Christ. Thank you 🙏🏼🇵🇬
LORD Jesus hear my prayers. I losing faith. I turn to you in my time in need. I suffer from lupus and heart disease. I have two sons both have special needs. Lord I’m overwhelmed at times trying to provide for my sons please continue to grant me strength as I continue to struggle to provide daily necessities for my son’s. Give me strength amen. 🙏🏾
Never thought that the saying savior and LORD changed the message. Great word!
Amen, works of faith (confess and water baptism) receive the Holy Ghost after that. Then Lordship salvation…having to follow Jesus's rules to make it to Heaven.
Curry, I have never met you in person but I have learned so much from all of your teachings and I highly respect you. But I wanted to bring up one point the seven sons of Sceva. According to the King James, and Kenneth Wuest. It was the man with the devils that jumped on them. It doesn't look like to me from scripture that they were able to cast that demon out.
And the man in whom the pernicious spirit was, having leaped upon them, having gained the mastery over them, overpowered them so that they fled out of that house with their clothing in shreds and having been wounded. (Acts 19:14–17, WUESTNT,
Jesus is your Lord, whether you make him that or not! And you don't make him Lord… GOD DID! (Phil. 2:10–11; Acts 2:36). Just as he's the King, regardless of your opinions (Rev. 19:16; 1 Tim. 6:15). The aspect of salvation, in terms of "am I going to heaven and not hell", has zero to do with your actions or work, it has to do with the free gift (Eph. 2:8–9; Rom. 6:23; Titus 3:5; Rom. 4:5 – Note this is present tense as well!). That being said, there's more in the bible than just going to heaven… there are crowns (2 Tim. 4:8; James 1:12; 1 Pet. 5:4; Rev. 2:10; 3:11), there is inheritance (Col. 3:24; Eph. 1:11, 14; 1 Pet. 1:4), there are rewards (1 Cor. 3:8, 14; 2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 22:12), and THOSE THINGS, are NOT guaranteed! Those are based on what you do with your salvation (1 Cor. 3:10–15; 2 Cor. 5:10). That has to do with the soul (1 Thess. 5:23; Heb. 4:12). Heaven/being born again, has to do with the spirit (John 3:3–6; Rom. 8:9–16; 1 Cor. 6:17). Rightly dividing this truth (2 Tim. 2:15) keeps you from thinking you have to keep working hard just to make it to heaven. I find the main issue is that you have people that actually do serve God… like brother Curry, and you see people who are doing nothing, don't care, neglecting what they've been given, and then you might think, well… I don't want them to get the same as I'm getting! Because people think heaven is some sort of reward for doing things right. It's not. You can lose many things. Crowns are not guaranteed (Rev. 3:11; 2 John 8). Promises to the overcomer, are not guaranteed (Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 26–28; 3:5, 12, 21). All those things one can "lose"… see 1 Cor 3 for building on the foundation of Jesus with gold silver and precious stones vs wood hay stubble (1 Cor. 3:11–15). It says the man can lose everything…. but he himself shall be saved (1 Cor. 3:15). Why? The salvation aspect, isn't what we do. That's what Jesus did (John 19:30; Heb. 10:10–14). Now, what we build on that does matter, and you can lose everything, if it's just wood, hay and stubble. But what "work" did the Israelites have to do to be saved from the angel of death? Be nice to people? Pray for folks. Be "serious". No. Their "seriousness" was shown in that they trusted the blood, and nothing else (Ex. 12:13, 23; Heb. 11:28). That's the salvation of the "spirit" of the person that is then joined to the Lord (1 Cor. 6:17). But as we see… it wasn't just there … they needed to go through the waters… and into the land (Ex. 14; Num. 13–14; Heb. 3:16–4:11; 1 Cor. 10:1–5). Many die in the wilderness, even though they were saved from Egypt (1 Cor. 10:5; Jude 5; Heb. 3:17–19). So it is today. Many die without reaching their potential in Christ. Will they be in heaven? Yes (1 Cor. 3:15; John 10:28–29). Heaven ain't a reward for good behavior or Christian soldiery. But… will they sit on the throne and rule with Christ? No. That's only for the overcomer (Rev. 3:21; 2 Tim. 2:12; Rev. 2:26–27). Will they be given a new name? No (Rev. 2:17). Will they have a crown to throw at his feet? Not likely (Rev. 4:10; 2 Tim. 4:8; Rev. 3:11). So there's many things people will miss out on based on their laziness and lethargy in their "faith"…. but heaven ain't one of em. They are God's kids (John 1:12; Rom. 8:16)… but they ain't fit to rule with him (2 Tim. 2:12; Luke 19:17–26). So they'll be like the weird cousins in eternity. The teaching on the bride of Christ, actually clears this up the best I think. But a clear teaching on Spirit, Soul, Body… solves 99% of this issue.
