The Dave Kane thang! The Friday song, back when WCMF was innovative, rock was young, and radio taste was not controlled by less than a dozen idiots setting the play lists for all American corporate radio!
Love this one. Eons ago when I was a teenager, 101 KLOL the AOR station in Houston played this every Friday at 5pm. Never announced the title, just…"here's the 5 o'clock song". Took awhile to learn the actual name of the tune.
Was never a acoustic guy per se, because I had alot of electrics I wanted to try or own! After reaching the end of the road with that, settled on a Strat-Tele-335 and LP! Then after many acoustics, played a 14 Hummingbird and 95 J-200 that inspire me as much as the electrics!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!✌🏽❤️ Also cool Gilmour shirt😉
Very cool and that Guild sounds amazing. I went back and watched one of your older videos of Ah Leah. When I was a kid before I started playing guitar I alway's liked that guitar on Donnie Iris Ah Leah and the guitar on Jefferson Starship Jane
Thank you for this one!!! I had necer heard it that I'm aware of and I was born in '71. I just watched the Sun King Studio version from '92 and it's incredible. I love his harmonica playing and I love his line in there "Well prohabition never worked; it's time we realized it… If it grows in my backyard we should legalize it…" I find that funny now that here in Michigan it is legal to grow in your backyard… and I do!!!
Last time I listened to local classic rock radio (2-3 years ago), they were still playing this song on Friday at 5:00. I always thought it was Stephen Stills. 😂
Nice, I saw Mr. Edwards twice back in the day. The radio station in Grand Rapids, Michigan dubbed it "The Friday Song".
I love this song! It's my favorite tune for taking a drive out to the country. It plays well on a kazoo, too
They use to play this on 96 rock every Friday in Atlanta
What a great sounding Guitar James James, as I said before.. especially in the outdoors.. nice lesson.. hope y’all had a great fourth
That’s a fun jam! 👍🏼

That Guild sounds spectacular! Just saying…thanks for another, man! I hope you and yours are doing great today!
I enjoy watching you play… this song is reminiscent of something John Sebastian might have wrote.
* Have you already covered ‘96.8’ by Keith?
Friday mornings on the loop. Sunshine is also a good one.
Now strap on the harmonica and off i go. Thanks

Jonathan Edwards was terrific. Love his song “Lucky Day” as well.
Awesome! Always loved the song. That’s a finger workout! Will give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

Wow. That guitar.
Saw Jonathan Edwards at Hunt's in Burlington, Vt., sometime around 1984-1985.
