That's just how we sometimes and unfortunately go around with paraphrased, out-of-context verses to support our actions, thinking "I have scriptural and spiritual backing".
I learned from this movie not to take scriptures out of context. Anytime I find myself using a Bible verse to justify my actions, I must check it to be sure that I'm doing the right thing.
