    FOUNDATION |
    1. Fatherhood in its truest definition goes beyond being a male
    2. Fatherhood goes beyond being a married man.
    3. Fatherhood goes beyond having biological children.
    4. Fatherhood goes beyond family life. Only the male gender can evolve to be called fathers but all leaders regardless gender can exhibit fatherhood qualities.
    5. The male gender is the scripturally authorized entity committed with the responsibility of Fatherhood by God but fatherhood as a principle goes beyond being male
    6. Fatherhood is most visibly seen in the family structure but it is a principle that goes beyond the family institution.

    * Father comes from the Hebrew word, “Abba”. And it means 1. Source, 2. Foundation 3. Sustainer
    * Greek word is PATER, means 1. Protector 2. Nourisher

    WHAT IS A FATHERHOOD? |
    1. Fatherhood is first and foremost a creation principle and a leadership quality seen in plants, humans and animals.

    2. It is about initiating processes, maintaining the processes and replicating/perpetuating these processes beyond one's self. (Matthew 6:9, 7:8-11)

    * The highest demonstration for leadership is Fatherhood. (Heb. 3:4)

    WHO/WHAT IS A FATHER? |
    A father is a male who has accepted the role and responsibility of starting a family, providing, protecting & building the children from that family until they attain maturity.

    TYPES OF FATHERHOOD |
    Biological fatherhood, Adopted Fatherhood, Legal fatherhood, Eldership

    * God always starts with The man -> The Seed -> The Generation (Psalm 112:1-2)

    *God always calls a man, makes him a father and through him, a seed is made for an entire generation. Isaiah 51:1-2(NIV)

    * Fatherhood can be seen as one of the spiritual responsibilities of a man with respect to family life and also as a leadership principle practiced by all men.

    * Everyone under your care is your child.
    * Headship is with respect to responsibility and leadership.

    * When God wants to bless a man, He connects the man and plants him/her in a family whether physical or spiritual (Ps. 68:6)

    * There are many men but few fathers. A father is about the well-being of the people and not for profit else, you're a CEO and not a father. (Jh. 3:16, Rom. 5:8)

    QUALITIES THAT QUALIFY A MAN [FAMILY LIFE]|
    1. Submit to God the Father (Matt. 6:9)
    2. Covenant of Marriage
    3. Privilege of bearing biological or adopted children
    4. The willingness to be responsible in nurturing and building those children
    5. The willingness to create a legacy beyond yourself.

    * In one word, the assignment of a father is leadership over his children and his household. (Joshua 24:15)

    ASSIGNMENT OF A FATHER |
    1. A foundation and sustainer to your home.[ The one who provides the vision and pattern for running the family. Part of this vision requires you to be a provider (1 Tim. 5:8)]
    * If this is not done, there is no basis for measuring rebellion. (Prov. 29:18)

    ASSIGNMENT OF A FATHER |
    2. As a covering; both spiritual and emotional (Jh. 17:12)
    3. Acts as a mirror (the identity of the child coming from the revelation that the father brings)

    ASSIGNMENT OF A FATHER |
    4. All fathers should be disciplinarians (one who disciplines responsibly for character formation and moral upbringing whether in the organization or family).
