I see many examples of husbands encouraging, challenging, and supporting their wives in their careers. That has been my own experience, and I saw it in my father being my mom’s biggest cheerleader. He helped put her through college and two masters degrees while they both worked full time and cared for their children and home together. They found creative ways to still spend lots of time with my sister and me. My mom became very successful and has always seen that as the fruit of a full-family project.

But I think women should educate right out of school (if possible), marry and have children early, that way if you divorce maybe your children are older and need you less so you can throw yourself into your career and you're still young.

Otherwise, I unfortunately may have to agree that the young man maybe right regarding- stress, anxiety, depression ect- but not lifespan , because stats are telling that women opt to file for divorce or call it quits more often than men because wives tend to express being dissatisfied with their marriage…As a woman speaking from my observation of, both the married and divorce women in my in my life who are relatives and acquaintances, there can be disadvantages of being married and only a housewife for a long period of time.
In the case of a housewife sometimes women are forced to endure/stay in an unhealthy marriage because they feel financially disable and because they have no or outdated professional work skills, and many children (which is an expense). Also, there is the fear of not being desirable for another spouse too, due to body changes from weight gain and childbirth.
Talking to some of the divorcees (ex wives), many of them wanted their marriage to work and to receive Godly counselling, but it seemed that their husbands didn't value their emotions or suggestions to improve the marriage. Especially if that required him paying for counselling . Many times marital issues stemmed on how money should be allocated. So if the husband is the sole breadwinner, but he has the attitude of it is his money instead of their (the couples) money, unfortunately he has the only say. Thats the reality for some housewives 🙁 .attorney

Marriage is beneficial for both. If women are struggling more mentally in marriage it’s likely bc of their partner. If not due to their partner, geez, maybe it’s stressful raising children or being married even? Being single is peaceful and a beautiful time w God, but being married is beautiful as well (if you choose a healthy partner). There’s pros and cons on both sides.
