Early start of movie: The Christian older woman scripted to say "Pray you dummy…" to the light-skin black father was a total TURNOFF. Not a good example of how to treat another believer. Who wrote and produced that messy line? I will try to finish the movie because I've watched some good role-model worthy movies from Maverick Movies but also several others that seem to have to embarrass actors (with a certain look). How can some of these movies be so uplifting but others use subliminal messages to lower male or female self-esteem? WHO ELSE DOES THAT?

"She all-ight" about light-skin wife and continuously calling the light-skin older man, a dummy and "girl you a vegan lie" to a pretty lighter-brown actress makes me wonder who wrote this ridiculous script. Does the writer want to subliminally downgrade actors with a certain skin-tone? (Kedar actor was not called a dummy, he also looks like an intelligent man. Neither was an insult hurled at the pretty heavyset lady on the sofa.) Surely, the dialog writer is not black. Reminds me of how ALL blacks were linguistically downgraded in most movies in the past. Now it seems having a lighter complexion makes one foil for an insult in many of these MM movies. Think it might be time to investigate other inspirational black drama movies on YT. So sad. I felt NO inspiration from the subliminal, downgrading insults uttered in this movie. Neither will MANY young people.

Ugg! No matter what Kedar does he is not called "a dummy." Wife even called him handsome, etc. early on. Yet the hard-working supportive wife/mother is told by him she is not supportive. Her dialog changed from NOT knowing HE hurriedly bought the recording studio (without reading the contract before signing) to saying they should have mutually agreed to buy it-yet somehow she didn't call him "a dummy'. Did the writer FORGET or just forgot to insult that actor? Let's not forget the light-skin Hispanic woman selected as the movie huss ..y, yet another self-esteem buster. These writers must not have "formal" writers educational training–would be my guess. Who wants to support a movie that subliminally puts people down that look like them? This COULD have been an outstanding ,"inspirational" lesson movie if not for the unnecessary insults, biased treatment of some actors and dialog unevenness. Movie had potential and an EXCELLENT title. But people aren't interested in seeing movies with obvious biases against them. Back to the storyboard, writers…

Blasphemy is more like it and then you play and say I'm just kidding no you wasn't kidding you want people to pay your car note it's about coming to God for real and loving God honestly. For better or worse,marriage is more then love it is a commitment beyond what you can imagine. God have to be first the hardest thing about real love is that it keeps no record of wrong doing. Marriage is no joke. She knew her vows is was important then that baby he made on her. We see couples married 20 30 40 yrs and see it as a beautiful which it is but it take work even in a good marriage!

It's great somebody stepped up to the plate. People think it's hard to straighten up what you messed up, but it's so easy to mess something up just know that beds can be made up from everyday you sleep in them. It may be a struggle but that's only for the lesson learned. You look back at the mess you made and if it hit you hard enough to change then you won't do anything to hurt anymore. You'll learn to not change a thing unless you know it's for the better. The best. Bestings to you.

This was a good movie. Kadar had a good wife Lydia. I often wonder why men are so stubborn with pride not to at least consider what their wife who standing by them is saying. This movie is a reality. All the actors were fantastic. We must learn to put God first. There may be lots of trials to stand but with God you can make it. Lydia was a virtuous woman. Lord help all the woman who are experiencing this type of situation.
