In that bright city, pearly white city,
I have a mansion, a harp, and a crown;

For the white city John saw coming down.
No sin is allowed in that city
And nothing defiling or mean;
No pain and no sickness can enter,

Earth's sorrows and cares are forgotten,
No tempter is there to annoy;

There's nothing to hurt or destroy.

What an evergreen song! How wonderfully sung. Oh how I love Jamaica and Jamaican people and the church there. One of my life’s ambition is to visit that Caribbean island nation. She’s one of the reasons. Why? Her songs blessed me greatly in the 70s when I didn’t even know she was the one who sang them. But I look forward to going to that Pearly city whenever it would please the Lord to call me home. Beautiful song, blessed song.
