I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. No matter what, the soul of every man is important to God. As Christians, we should focus on how every soul would be won. Jesus didn't come to condemn the world but to bring souls into the kingdom. We go on evangelism to bring sinners into the kingdom of God irrespective of whatever sins they might have committed. Is it now wise to chase someone in church who has sinned back to the world. As Christians, we should be more interested in the repentance of our brothers and not condemnation. The gospel of Jesus Christ is love. show love to your derailed brother by bringing him back to Christ.
Many of us didnt understand the parable of the prodigal son. we focus more on the son while the main lesson is about the prodigal love of the father in welcoming his prodigal son back home. Heaven rejoices when one sheep out of the 100 sheep is found. Prodigal means to lavish. The father lavished love on his derailed son. What we should focus on is to bring one lost sheep back to the herd and not this condemnation here and there. peace.
