Nigerians should stop praying to God for divine intervention. The fact is God help those who help themselves. God wants y'all to come out in your 100's of millions to break down the doors of the thieves y'all voted for. Nigeria needs the JJ Rawlings cleansing and the Indian people justice. period!!! nothing will change as long as Nigeria remains as one. unfortunately y'all deserve your leaders
No country prays more than Nigeria and things are this bad, perhaps Its time to start acting and not just be praying. God that has given you brain and resources to solve your problems. Serious countries are actually working and not hiding under the phrase ‘let’s pray to God’ Thank you Mayor Akinpelu for speaking some sense..Even though no country is without its challenges, America is rising up against insecurity with proper strategy in place and not praying about it. Also Jide even though the essence of thanksgiving is to ‘give thanks’, over the years it’s become a family gathering and beginning of the holding season for us, Not necessarily meeting up to pray against Insecurity!
I disagree with the clergy for the following reasons,1. Nigerians pray more than any country in the world,the problem we are seeing in the circular society is also found in religious circles.The Nigerian problems start with the citadel of justice( the government that rules over us create the social ills in the society) they intentionally did that so that they can continue to divide and rule. The problem is not insurmountable if Buhari is willing today, he can stop the menace of Boko Haram, the Fulani terrorists all over the place. Racial discrimination, racial supremacy by certain sections of the society is another problem, this also can be addressed if the president is willing. The third problem is the corruption within the political class and the general public at large. There is a saying that once the citadel of justice is corrupt, the whole body polity will be corrupt also. That what we are witnessing. We don’t need prayers, what we need is repentance.
This man is aging too fast and senility has crept in real fast, Adeboye his peers has contributed immensely to the decay of Nigeria with such unguarded statements

Religion is our biggest problem in Nigeria , we don't even know how to serve God, our so called men of God are servant of money and ego.
