This is such a brilliant submission from the Okotie. What baffles me is the annoying lack of knowledge from this two interviewers. They seem oblivious of what Nigeria is going through right now and the need to do things differently.
Chris Okotie make sense but the interim government is what I don't understand how he is going to work. Look back at the Jonathan's conference, it was only the yoruba and the south south that want a true government while the south east & the north want the samething but spoke in a different language. The south east & north will definitely will not support his view .
This guy still loves the sound of his own voice , his vocabularies and rambling on with highfalutiin jargon! What is the point of suggesting what you know that would never be allowed to happen ,i.e ,sacking all legislators and replacing them with unions and professionals bodies. No workable solution proffered except constantly repeating that patriots should come together and do 'something' 'before it is too late.,
This male interviewer is such a let down on this programme, gosh . He is masking his ignorance with this cringy laughter. Same guy that was showing his ethnic and selfish inclinations by writing a very derogatory article about Peter Obi which he captioned' ' Obituary'.
Lets have Rev Chris Okotie back to the studio..and let's have better journalist to let us have it betterβ¦..this journalist in suit is a mess, laughs unnecessarilyβ¦..
It was a 15 minute program on Ray Power in the year 2000 that made me love this man, he inspired the way and what I read. With much respect, I must admit he is proposing a model that is not feasible with our level of civilization. We are too primitive to put the interest of the people first by pausing a government system. He should align with Obi, and when we have grown a bit more, maybe we could then reconsider his proposal β An Interim Government.
According to the French philosopher Jean Jacques Rosseau, when things are bad enough, this triggers a revolution. So, if the man wearing a suit thinks that a revolution cannot take place in Nigeria right now,, he is in error. As much as that revolution may not occur now, at some point in the future, a revolution will definitely take place. So, unless there is an urgent move to alleviate the suffering of the bourgeois β (poverty-ridden masses), a revolution should be expected.
This man called Omatseye really lack journalism ethics, and in a sane society he shouldn't even have a job in media journalism. Rev Okotie spoke very intelligently. I had similar conversation with some folks weeks ago, but my own suggestions was military interim government until when we can draft ourselves a constitution that can make Nigeria run effectively.
True thinker and intellectual. Home grown African solution. It's a shame the so called Political scientists and our academia have not justified their respect and calling. Wher are all the philosopher graduates of over 60byeara of university education, where are the lawyers etc. Chris Okotie must be commended for this proposal. This is not the usual cheap beer parlor brand talk of our many round table social media journalists talk shops. Cheap talk. This is original and intellectually acceptable. Unfortunately here, the journalism here is typical Nigerian and lighthearted. The man is laffing and not extracting from this erudite man what he should tell us. I do not see how this will clean the nation butbitsbthe best home attempt. There is a solution and we all know.
Nigerian journalist laff at serious issue. Chris is not but this big man here us laffing like Nigerain matter is a joke. CHRIS DID NOT COME TO LAFF IN THIS STUDIO, Oghene!!!πππ
The position of Rev Chris Okotie is assumptive and feeble. I don't see a situation where constitution will be suspended. The only way is to identify the problems, diagnose the causes then propose solutions.
We're in the middle of an election and we can't talk of changing the system now. If PO wins then we can have the opportunity to talk with normal people and a free legal system. The current APC and PDP doesn't care to listen than bribing the people. Let us elect a government that will include the people to change things. Because the youths want a change now and hoping on PO and people are bringing an ideology or speaking big grammar. You should have told APC Bubu this since 2015 and 2019. You all should be Obi-Dient and Yusuful supporters first and put pressure on the next really elected listening government.. Be Obi-Dient and Yusuful first.
That man on suite is a complete clan, smiling and laughing with serious issues, he is not qualified to be a journalist, he speaks like an illiterate, so irritating and disgusting, look at his head like cold eba.
Yes, big thanks to Rev Chris Okotie π π π π with Outstanding Communication skills on Mathematical Binary of Nigeria π³π¬ leadership of PDP / APC. IT'S NOW THE RIGHT TIME TO SAY NO TO THE GOOD AND SAY YES TO THE BEST π π. LET US πΆββοΈ GO FOR THE BEST π . PETER OBI CAN make a positive difference come 2023.
His calmness and control of the words are so inspiring, but the ideas he is advocating cannot be adopted in Nigeria and hardly in any other country in this age. so basically those are idealist. In the modern age, there are way to to achieve some of the things he suggests- one way is the constitutional conference which GEJ set up but Buhari frustrated it.
There would never a time in a country to set aside elected government and constitute a sort of order run by patriots. the argument would be that the situation is not as bad to warrant such a dereliction of duty by the president and legislature. again, it can be argued there is no way to prove that the result of the deliberations of those patriots would meet expectations.
It is a costly trial and error for a country- the more realistic approach would be a revolution or having a trusted revolutionary candidate penetrate the presidency and deal with the required transformation.
The truth is the present presidential system is never going to change. We have to make what we have work . We must federalise properly. States must be willing to collect tax from their people to run their own affairs.
I believe that where Nigeria is currently is not far from the instinct that the servant of God had a couple of months back. I think this interim must needs happen before the inauguration of the legitimate administration
Honestly, Reverend Chris Okotie has the passion and maybe undoubtedly the political will to be part of the "New Nigeria" that the Peter Obi Administration will profer.
Chris okotie is NOT A CHRISTIAN; TALK MORE OF BEING A PASTOR. The devil is a liar!!! Holy Ghost Fire all over you in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen and Amen!!!

Something tells me that we are going to playback this interview and which we'd payed more attention to the Reverend brilliant submission.

The same man God has elected several times to president, that never became president. Religion and politics is what plunged humanity into this mess.
Any body with standard dictionary
Redundant political live motive
Hahaha. Good luck with thatβ¦give power to the people in a country that has no respect for the laws that governs them.
I doubt that this male interviewer understands what Rev is sayingβ¦
Surely a revolutionary is around the corner. Why do these idiots have to visit London to resolve the problems facing Nigeria?
Why is this presenter laughing ? What is funny ? The man is talking sense and solutions. This one is laughing
This presenter is more trying to show he is on level with Chris intelligence, rather then listen to the man and hear what he is saying

That man in suit is a mumu and has no grasp of history or politics.
I had this system of government years back.
Peter obi should make Rev an ambassador when he wins π
It's the ease for me, with which this man is steering deep waters of wisdom.
This man is apparently just sharing a tip of his mental iceberg.

TVC should fix this green screen issue. It is poorly lit, making it unpleasant to the eyes.
