Morning everyone. I find it so ironic that T.D. Jakes is possibly getting exposed now. I attended his church for 8 months from November 2021-July 2022. That place definitely gives out cult vibes. The biggest turnoffs of his church include: ● Unfriendly congregation members, especially the vast majority of male church members being standoffish/unapproachable ● Nice nasty staff members ● Jerk security guards ● The fact that Jakes himself and his praise team singers are unapproachable to regular people ● The fact that every single service you attend he expects you to stand up holding up your tithe envelope/phone confirming that you're paying money to this church 😅

I believe Mannesah being brave enough to come forth to shed light on the hypocrisy of a Religious leader that some worshipped, it’s allowing a safe space for others to come forth and get the justice they deserve. It’s not in the news or etc because we know that the media can be paid. We see “him” taking all precautions to even strike ppls channels to not get the info out. Plus, a lot of ppl don’t believe Mannesah so of course it’s not going anywhere. But the fact that he even gave us a some type of curiosity to pay more attention to these type of ppl and now more ppl and evidence is coming forth, yea he’s making an impact. And saying he’s not a victim meaning that even though the “grooming” was being put on him, he’s not a slave to his trauma. Good morning ☕️from a therapist who was raised in the Catholic church and was s trafficked by my own mother. A few thoughts: the term "grooming" is only used so frequently now because of Tiktok. In clinical terms, grooming is not limited to an age of victim or to physical contact. We use the term "coercive control" instead so we're able to be more inclusive of victims and more accurate to what science says. You're correct that Manassa would be considered a victim legally. That term has a legal definition. He would also be what therapists consider a victim and a survivor. One way I can tell if someone has had good therapy or not (and enough) is by how comfortable they are applying these terms to themselves and others. For most survivors, especially men, it takes years, if not decades, of therapy before they feel like that label describes them. Men tend to feel even more shame than women, so we have even fewer men willing to talk publicly about this AND we tend to question men's seggual orientation when they come forward more than women. I've been watching several of my favorite gossip channels, including yours, cover this. I find that most of these religious people who want to help now are STILL not doing so with the assistance of us therapists. We do have therapists who specialize in spiritual a*buse and SA. When these people don't have the training and education that I have, they don't understand how risky they're behaving. Ask people like Monassa if he knows what to do if a victim disclosed to him that they wanted to hurt themselves OR their perpetrator. He won't know anything about this. I've lost many people to unaliving (I hate using these Tiktok terms but don't want your channel pinged). When someone comes to you and they have never told anyone about this, you may find you're also the person they turn to when they want to end their life. In that moment, seconds matter. As a Christian myself, I am incredibly skeptical of any influencer who solicits victims' stories. It feels exploitive. It feels self serving. For those who would prefer a professional, I recommend RAINN. They have a 24 hour hotline. In addition, they have a speakers program so that people who do not work in MH can share their stories publicly and will be trained to know what to do if they're confronted with a victim who's in trouble. I consider myself of survivor, but some people prefer to call themselves a victim…especially in the immediate aftermath. Another great resource is the National Association of Social Work (NASW). There is a chapter in every state. Their Board members are the most well connected in the state, so they can be a great lead to find real experts for this specific kind of a*use.❤
