The Bible says we will suffer persecution as the Antichrist rises and when we become ruled by him. It isn't just those Christians far away who will suffer to death. I hope we are able to prepare for those times so we can protect and take care of those who need it most.
I like the comparison of one drop of water and the ripples it makes. This make it more individual.
I liked the comparison about the ripples of evil. As the world moves farther away from GOD and goodness, there will be more and more ripples from sin and evil choices. We don't think about how the loss of GOD's influence, and the salvation of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, affect our world. We have been so blessed. Many think it will never go away.
The VAST (special emphasis added) number of kidnaps, rapes, forced conversions, and murders of Christians are in mo-ham-medan areas. China is super safe compared to Nigeria or Iran.
