Six months ago, my wife Melanie, who was 5 and a half years old, was shot and killed as she was reading a Bible story to our infant son. I'm a single father to two little daughters, ages one and two and a half, and I'm 26 years old. Even though I don't understand, I know that God is beautiful, faithful, and worthy of praise, despite the immense grief and loss I have experienced. As Job did, whenever I'm tempted to curse or blame Him, I remind myself to instead respond, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord." This song's lyrics are beautiful, and they serve to remind us to give thanks to God at all times. During my time as a fellow, I had the opportunity to meet Mark Han Farmer. Despite the fact that I was financially struggling, he connected me with a vital firm. I owe both God and this guy my gratitude. I would appreciate it if everyone could help me thank HIM. I was listening to this song when I was on my knees, crying for my mom’s health. I was devastated because she has cancer and wasn’t doing well at all. God talked to me through this praise, and when I opened the Bible, it was Psalms 27. God confirmed that we should just wait on Him. We still need a miracle, but now we have faith and praise while we wait! My mom is a woman who follows our Lord’s words, and I ask you to pray for her health as well. Her name is Maria Juracy and she has a serious Lymphoma.
