To show the love of Jesus to the unsaved even when we don't like or even totally disagree with the circumstances. To Trust and know our Heavenly Father will never leave us nor forsake us. He who gave us ears, hears our prayers.
Many a Calvinist and Reformed preacher has done substantial harm. Not because of an underlying message from the Lord through scripture. Not because of a rejection of the fact of our sinfulness and the need gor God himself to regenerate us. Not from a rejection of truthful conviction. Not from a belief in one's merit or righteousness. Not from the strong feelings and reactiins that often accompany hearing of our need.
Because of the unnecessary antagonism, worldly, and thoroughly modern recklessness, pride, coldness, and self indulgence of a fallen church leadership in what I believe is a world under active judgement.
It's a difference between a loving person beseaching one who is harming themself vs just reacting to whatever latest political or cultural war annoyance and sees all through that and not the sober lense of Christ. Or perhaps some other self serving vice including perdonal irritation, presumption, or just impatient laziness. Slander and listening to lies makes wicked the servants of reckless leaders as well as the leader.
Spurgeon is so unique in that his blows wound more yet they are the correcting goads of a loving brother. He strikes me as someone willing to commit to understanding before judging. If surgeons were like many a church leader, I'd want a Spurgeon surgeon to getvl a second opinion.

Resist Distractions, Deceptions, and Delusion by Prayer and God's Word.
I sort by, "That IS Christ," or "That is not Christ."
His Powers are Death and Destruction. They remain His until His final imprisonment.
For Those whom God did foreknow would break under the power of destruction unto godly sorrow and seek God's face, having no more of rebellion, He apportioned Life in Himself for you, and death has lost it's Sting in Yeshua Jesus.
Distractions are the worst⦠Must be a person of concerted prayer and continued growth or will die of these.
He doesn't need a smartphone to get you distracted. He tempted The Lord with just a rock at his feet.
Think of the second life in Christ in context to this parable of The Sower. The Seed looks nothing like the plant.
The seed must die and go into the ground to grow.
Before it is a seed it is a flower. It must be born of God's Spirit- His Divine Pollen or Seed.
The Seed has a shell- This earthly body. It will shed this in death.
The seed has 2 bifurcating halves. These are like the 5 faithful Virgins who had oil in their lamps. These must store- drawing up from the Root it's nutrients and minerals by which are like storehouses of energy and potential (the food of growth- God's Word and Spirit).
One day, The Great Winnorer will gather up His Seeds, and like gathering up His Jewels, will take them to His New Heaven and New Jerusalem- as yet unseen by anyone- even unseen by the evil ones- where He will plant us- Himself The Master Gardener of All!
If you stunt this with Sin, He can repair; but if never germinated/pollinated, how then can the Seed ever form? It won't. This life will flower and fade and wither and die and yield nothing back by which to live again.
You must have your eyes opened, your ears opened, your mind unconfused, and your heart unclouded, and God must heal you from the inside out- storing up in you the Life to come, and writing upon your refashioned/repurposed Clay Vessel, "Holy Unto The Lord," and then He will fill you with the finest Oil!
Nothing is impossible with God. Ask Him to forgive your black hearts of their black lusts and evil desires. Black because it has no light. (Not racial fyi). God divides Light from Darkness! He divide you out too!
Resist and make no rest for yourself in Distractions. Video games is awful for me, I don't learn sometimes, and download one, and bam, I wasted a whole day and once almost died forgetting my medication I was so distracted!! Yes, and there are obviously worse distractions than these- refuse to eat them! I am sorry oh great king, "We will not bow to your golden statue!"
Stay away from all "That is not Christ." Try hard to stay captive to Christ and catch as many to Him too without entangling in their sins.
We must all leave our fortresses and come out to places of public execution, and take up our Crosses and follow our Lord or we cannot be with Him! For He is The Root and The Vine!
At First The Accuser of our Brethren was a cold-blooded serpent, biding his moment and his time, cruel and cunning and shrewd. Now as he is daily more about wickedness, he is hot-blooded like a Lion and ravenously hungry, no longer cold and able to wait along the mouse path or rabbit path, but is active and pouncing and fiercely hungry to destroy for he knows his time is near.
Many of you, like me, who have come Captive to Yeshua Jesus, freed of chains and shackles to sin and depravity, we are captive in God's Triple Strand Cord of Love, Hope, Faith. Learn to Hope against all other hope. And we are captive to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit friends! β€β€β€
I have been attacked every night in my sleep for months on end. Even perceiving them and him. Constantly having to awake and run to prayer. I can tell you it is real. He must be resisted or you have no chance.
Theology cannot save. Your works cannot save. Believing a historical Jesus will not save. You Must Be Born of God's Spirit! β€

What did Mr Spurgeon observe of Jesus thirsty at Jacob's Well with the Samaritan woman on man #6? He thirsted repentant Faith.
At the Cross, our Lord refused the Wine (bitter) for the lacing of pain medicines like poppy cake and others in it. It was seen as a Mercy to the dying- like hospice care or to dying soldiers on battlefields and to crucified persons apparently too- or at least they were willing to for Jesus.
Jesus refused it, for He drank from the repentance of the Thief who was the ONLY man in Israel believing upon Him as Lord in that moment unto godly sorrow- invoking Malachi to be remembered too!

However, it was the wife, that at midnight had to prepare a meal for the husband and his friends, that spoke to me this morning. To show the love of Jesus to the unsaved even when we don't like or even totally disagree with the circumstances. To Trust and know our Heavenly Father will never leave us nor forsake us. He who gave us ears, hears our prayers.
Many a Calvinist and Reformed preacher has done substantial harm. Not because of an underlying message from the Lord through scripture. Not because of a rejection of the fact of our sinfulness and the need gor God himself to regenerate us. Not from a rejection of truthful conviction. Not from a belief in one's merit or righteousness. Not from the strong feelings and reactiins that often accompany hearing of our need.
Because of the unnecessary antagonism, worldly, and thoroughly modern recklessness, pride, coldness, and self indulgence of a fallen church leadership in what I believe is a world under active judgement.
It's a difference between a loving person beseaching one who is harming themself vs just reacting to whatever latest political or cultural war annoyance and sees all through that and not the sober lense of Christ. Or perhaps some other self serving vice including perdonal irritation, presumption, or just impatient laziness. Slander and listening to lies makes wicked the servants of reckless leaders as well as the leader.
Spurgeon is so unique in that his blows wound more yet they are the correcting goads of a loving brother. He strikes me as someone willing to commit to understanding before judging. If surgeons were like many a church leader, I'd want a Spurgeon surgeon to getvl a second opinion.
I can't tell you Pastor Gavin, the power of you doing what you do. It's like the missions to beam in signals of the Gospel to a hostile nation.
Let's pray that "Manoah" will heal from his anxiety, depression and now paranoia. Wow! It must be so difficult to be battling mental illness while he's trying to run a mega church. I guess that's why he hasn't preached for a while. Great words of encouragement.π
