To gauge if a believer is "building a vessel correctly" and "growing correctly" , identify four dimensions, drawing from the "four living creatures" seen around God's throne (Revelation 4:6-8). These "four faces" represent the aspects that must evolve in a believer to fully represent God's program:
1. The Face of a lion🦁 – Represents the dominion aspect of a believer's life, associated with Jesus as the "lion of the tribe of Judah". – The danger of developing only this dimension is 'pride', leading to arrogance and causing "so much trouble in the church".
2. The Face of a Calf – This teaches that the ultimate purpose of authority and power is service . – This balances the "lion" dimension, preventing arrogance . – The pitfall of being solely a "calf" (servant) is that "men will take advantage of you" , leading to discouragement and potential failure to fulfill one's destiny .
3. The Face of a Man – Emphasizes the humanity of the believer and the importance of recognizing one's limits . – Just as Jesus was human (hungry, wept), believers are allowed to feel, cry, and even seek medical help . – The deficiency here is when believers "select one of these dimensions" , leading to an imbalance. – The danger of only focusing on the "man" aspect is perpetual carnality, using humanity as an excuse for inaction or sin, allowing "Satan to wreck your life" .
4. The Face of an Eagle – This balances the human aspect by reminding believers of their divine nature, enabling them to "soar above every situation and every circumstance" . – This face signifies that even though one is ordinary, they are "not just an ordinary person" but a "lifegiving spirit" .
– Believers are warned against "well-intentioned" theologies that make believers reject "every good thing as proof of humility" or remain "perpetually carnal" because they only acknowledge their humanity.
