  1. I hate that it’s become so common to disregard whatever the elderly have to say — some like the late Sean Locke even sincerely believe they shouldn’t be allowed to vote. We want to shut up the people who we should be listening to the most. After all, we’ve only experienced our generation, while they’ve seen multiple generations pan out (it’s like I tell my kids: “you’ve only ever experienced life as a kid. I’ve had the benefit of experiencing it as a kid AND as an adult. Trust me.”) If we disagree with an entire generation who’s experienced far more than we have just because they disagree with us politically, we’re far more likely to be the one who’s in the wrong.

  2. “Let nothing ever disturb you. Nothing perturb you. All things are passing. God never changes. Patience endured attains all things. Whatever God possesses is never lacking. God Alone Suffices.”
Also, Remember “The mercies of the Lord are the glories of Him. His wonderful works, the children of men.” Courage!

  3. These are truly lucky people they don’t have any major physical ailments they seem to be financially secure and most importantly they still have their marbles! Most people who enter old age lose all these things or have them taken away from them, these are the few! Most of us will end up in some home and treated like an animal by minimum wage refugees who work in the private sector, until one day we don’t wake up! That’s the reality!!!!!!!!!

  4. Btw if anyone thinks I’m a cynical old fart you’re completely wrong I’ve had a great life up to now and I’m still only 45 but I watched my mother and father and grandparents deteriorate and it’s not pleasant getting old for most of us it’s not something to be looking forward to as I said these ladies and gentlemen I’ve been very fortunate otherwise they would make a video would they!!!!

  5. The last great generation. I wonder what the woke millennials will be like when they are this age.

Brings home how important a shared heritage and culture is, everything down from the sense of humour to home comforts, and how easily we have squandered, belittled and taken for granted what we once had.
