  1. I could be mistaken, but this was probably the greatest display of the art of understatement, ever recorded:
    "Jonathan Edwards has produced a remarkable jump"
    "It's the longest jump ever seen in track n field athletics… and I've just been informed, that's a new Gateshead-Harriets record".

    Lmao he's not doing the same sport, his worst jump was 58cm better than the best jump of any other athlete in the same event

  3. He is very religious, so I am sure he had help from above🧐 I can't remember seeing anything like this before. The wind speed of 2.4ms was such a shame, but he did get the world record soon after this at 18m29cm. The last time we saw something like this was problably Bob Beamon's long jump in 1972 and Willy Banks's triple jump in 1985. One of those times in athletics you don't or can't forget. 🤩
