The movie The Book of Clarance, produced by Jay Z, has been getting a lot of positive reviews from Christian sources. But many …

  1. Voddie bachem did an Awesome sermon titled the Nation of Islam. It's literally like they took the whole Bible🥲 and entities in Islam and combined it with deep space and aliens 🤷🏾‍♀️

  2. Salvation comes from knowledge, the church of the christian burn people who had knowledge you dare not to challenge them in that era,if God didn't want us to be knowledgeable he won't have given us brains.

  3. It’s clearly a film with an AntiChrist message embedded in it. Like come on now. The basis of the whole movie is about a man trying to copycat Jesus for his own selfish hai . Everything else is just to distract from that core of the movie.

  4. All glory to the Most High, that’s first.
    Regardless of man’s ‘agenda’
Which was I think the point of the film

I never once thought it was a ‘Christian’ film and I like it better for that reason. It was an art piece with really good points. A take on Ancient Compton if you will , what I liked most was how they depicted The true Messiah, showing exactly who he was. The power he had and what HE came to do. I also liked how it depicted the disciples, they had downfalls which was why they were disciples in the first place, I think they would’ve acted similarly to the film most of the time.

The film does point to knowledge over faith in the beginning but quickly the main character has a shift in heart posture, where ‘knowing’ is better than guessing, since Jesus came from a place of authority and came so that others if not all would HAVE, KNOW, AND UNDERSTAND that authority themselves through him. In the end the main character took up his cross and followed Jesus and yes he was enlightened.

The racism in the film wasn’t far either, police brutality, race on race crimes are not a new concept, let’s not pretend. Mind you this was a depiction of Ancient Compton and White people have had a way of doing things for multiple Centuries now, ensuring power. The film simply sheds light on the same ish going on today is the same ish that’s been going on, and black people would only benefit from Knowing of Jesus and understanding of his ministry…

  5. The Bible says Jesus is unique in both His person and His purpose. He wasn't just some spiritual individual during His time on earth; He was both God's Son (John 3:16) and God Himself—God in human flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). Yes, He was fully man, but He was also fully God …. This is true for every living person on earth! When you reach Christ consciousness you feel god within you! Instead of outside of you! The Bible has so many facts and keys that are misinterpret wrong and also the bible has been rewritten so many times some things were meant to confuse us and trap us! God is real, and he is with in you!

  6. This is silly..😂😂😂 blk folks like this wild to me. Everything 😮 a conspiracy. Beyoncé and Jay Z are not in league with the devil. This is why other folks pander to us in such a disrespectful condescending way. Our ability to make something out of nothing is unmatched 😅

  7. First of all what do you mean by the picture on the video? Do you mean dreadlocks is devel??? And i think you claim to be Christian and I gotta a question for you as a blackman: do you know how Christianity did get to you from the very first place😂???

  8. Jay-Z does NOT believe in the God of the Bible so why would people, especially Christians, think that this movie would some how redeem Jay-Z's position? Can both fresh water and bitter water flow from the same stream? (James 3:11) The unregenerate man hates God and wants absolutely nothing to do with Him. In fact he is a virulent enemy of God and his sweetest offering is rebellion (Romans 3:10-12). Jay-Z's father is the Father of Lies. This is who has inspired him. True believers will know this and would not think to watch this movie as a source of Christian encouragement. Like we all do, Jay-Z needs to fall on his face and understand his woeful sinfulness before a Holy God and cry out for forgiveness that he might be saved. And Christians who have "warmed up" to this movie need to really start studying the Word…

  9. To be fair, it’s a comedy so it’s gonna be exaggerated to an extent and of course it’s gonna deviate from the truth in certain areas but at least they stuck with the truth of that the Israelites are brown folk as well of YAHUSHUAH of course but they also stuck with the basic English names of the people for example Jesus which isn’t his True Name; in history their are talks of more than one “messiah” but there’s only one from Nazareth which I do applaud them giving him growing locks to show he has the Nazarene vow but overall the movie is about a atheist who believes in knowledge over faith and cons people who does believe in the faith while also teaching his own way of thinking which at first is a “anti christ” thing when it comes to claiming a role he isn’t and being deceptive about it like a con artist but over the time you see his character regret and feel guilt for his wrong decisions on fooling his people yet he still denies the faith til he sees the POWER of The FATHER YAH save him from drowning to the Roman’s cuz of his humility and confession, then you see his change of belief when he’s in prison talking to his brother, you even see that he denies the chance to turn in the real Messiah which the Romans know about aside from the false messiahs, then when he dies he gets awakened by The Real showing that he is truly redeemed so overall the movie is exaggerated of course cuz it’s a comedy but it does have real undertones of what is accurate if you have a certain growth in the knowledge of the faith; side note, I wish they would’ve called cannabis KANEH-BOSM in the movie but that’s not common knowledge for a common Christian

  10. I had no idea about this 5% thing but everything they’re teaching is absolutely racist and sacrilegious to the point of insanity! It is absolutely no different from the Nazi movement. One group believing themselves superior and a master race over other races which are inferior and therefore are less beings, between the 5% and the Nazis I see very little difference.
Just because they say knowledge is the most important thing is false. Because knowledge on its own is not strength it is wisdom you wish to know how to use it. wisdom and knowledge or not the same thing.

  11. I think most of yall in the comments dont understand 2 things. This movie is a dramatic comedy, and this movie is not to be seen in worship. He literally says this in the video, the film isnt about Jesus, its about Clarence, the false prophets, the greed and nievity of man, and the qualms of upholding your image and status. What wraps up the film is that despite Clarence using his faith to decieve people, he has a strong faith in god nonetheless and thats why he was ressurected by Jesus Christ.

  12. God forgive this man, for he knows not what he speaks. Our salvation comes from knowing the truth about ourselves. Like Clarence told his brother Thomas, “I don’t “believe”, I KNOW!”

  13. I love the way that people do not know the true meaning of words and always got something negative or bad to say they don't know where words come from when words were made how words are translated from one language to another but yet they always got something to say 😂😂😂😂 it's just FUNNY!!!

  14. I respectfully disagree and I am Catholic. Yes, the movie isn't biblical and doesn't claim to be, but it does respect Jesus and the authentic beliefs of Christianity.
Credit to your other points (especially the racial undertone), but even though the movie allegedly was made with the intentions of beliefs 5 percent star or whatever, in the end, Clarence was saved literally from death by Jesus. He recognized his dubious ways and his lack of belief, had faith and only then did his life began to turnaround for the better. Faith in Jesus still won at the end of the day (even if it wasn't the producer's intention and I'm okay with that)

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this movie to people as an authentic Christian movie for the spreading of the Gospel but at the same time I wouldn't totally condemn it either. Personally, I just watched it for fun. A funny movie about a man (atheist) who goes on a journey that leads him to faith and salvation. It just so happens that the movie was set in the time of Jesus.

  15. Best realistic film base on the bible. still fake names but all others were garbage at least I can relate to this and see myself. Our almighty is different from the slave master god.story happened in Africa and he was not name jesus.

  16. People back then didn't have televisions. They made up stories. Ppl actually argue over the skin complexion of a mythological character. You have zero proof that this man ever existed and less proof that he actually rose from the dead. The son of god. Meaning that he's a man that belongs to a race. The very story itself creates division. Gives you idiots something to fight about. Like we didn't have enough things to fight about already.
