Although Cole is widely known for his mixture of jazz and east indian, has anyone read through his personal scrapbooks? i spent two days poring over them in London, and in them Cole does not give much credence to this creation. He calls it "parlour entertainment."
I looked over them in 2004. They were at the Theatre Museum in London. I had heard a rumor that the Museum had closed, so I'm not sure of the current status of the Cole scrapbooks.
