This is the point many miss…you are giving to God not because HE needs as everything belongs to Him….He's testing your obedience, loyalty and growing your faith…..on the other hand the church uses this money to maintain the church, care for the members and do missionary work…if for some reason someone steals or mismanages the money that's a serious karma coming their way…you already did your part and your faithfulness will be rewarded

  2. I pay tithes as part of my covenant relationship with God. I pay tithes off my total income, not what I bring home. I also am blessed to be able to honour those who Father and mentor me in the gospel, by giving to them of my finances. 1 Timothy 5:17 “Let the elders who perform the duties of their office well be considered doubly worthy of honor [and of adequate [a]financial support], especially those who labor faithfully in preaching and teaching” You cannot go wrong when you give to God’s people and also to the poor. Psalm 41:1 “Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;” Proverbs 14:21“Whoever despises his neighbor is a sinner, but blessed is he who is generous to the poor.” Proverbs 19:17 “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” The Bible also states in, Acts 20:35 “…It is more blessed to give than to receive” How we give is important too. 2 Corinthians 9:7 ”Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” In all things, allow the Lord to lead you. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” 6 “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. The money is not mine anyhow. It comes from God and belongs to God and must be used as He directs. I wasn’t born with money and when I die I cannot take any of it with me. Job said in Job1:21 ”Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” 🇨🇦

  3. Before, we could donate to the world; now the needy are in your own hometown. We have started a Food Mission in my hometown where they distribute "short-date food"; a win-win for the shops who donate and for those who receive for free what they need.

  4. You should NEVER be preaching that “you scratch Gods back, and He will scratch yours. This is terrible! You should tithe because the money belongs to God. He says you keep 90%, I just want 10%. You should NEVER tithe because you want stuff! Will you continue to tithe when you DON’t receive the stuff? Is not eternal life in heaven enough? God hates this message! Yes you can receive perks from God, but that does NOT mean that He has to do anything else for you. I hate the message that 700 Club preaches tithe to us, and God will give you more money 😡

  5. Jesus beaten, whipped, and hung on a cross is not enough to cause of to give what belongs to Him? Now 700 club has to promote that if you tithe, especially to us…God will give you more stuff? Shame on you! God hates this message!

  6. God gives you blessings to be a blessing to others. Money should just be filtered THROUGH you, not stop with you. All possessions He gives you, you are to use to help others with. Give them food, open up the house God gave you to people who have no shelter. Having possessions does not mean you are blessed by God. When the drug dealer down the street has just as many possessions as you, does that mean He has Gods favor? Having stuff NEVER means that you have Gods stamp of approval on your life, but a humble and contrite heart walking in holiness and obedience to God. As Paul says in Phil. 4:12 “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

  7. Instead of focusing what you can get out of God…are you ready to tithe and receive this? 2 Corinthians 4:8-12

    “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you”.

    “For there’s a roof up above me,
    and a good place to sleep.
    There’s food on the table,
    and shoes on my feet.
    You gave me your love Lord,
    and a fine family.
    Thank you Lord,
    for your blessings on me.”

    Yet we here in America want to tithe to get more stuff. What we have is never enough.

  9. I see alot of negative comments here. But the truth is that its bibical. Everything we have comes from God and we are to be a good steward of everything He gives us. They have many testimonies here that are not about money.
