Mister man, religion is different from SPIRITUALITY. You can be religious, but NOT SPIRITUAL. Most Nigerians are gulliblely, and overly and superstitiously religious, but NOT SPIRITUAL The moment you strive to become spiritual, your consciousness suddenly loose interest in religion and it paraphernalia, whether organised or disorganised religion. The humanists of which Sowore is one, fight for adherents of all religions, including traditional religion adherents, whenever their fundamental human rights is trampled upon. Most SPIRITUAL humanists under the law for God and NEIGHBOUR. So, they actualize it for all humanity. The drawback of religion is that, their leaders want their congregants to depend solely on them for their (congregants) spirituality, instead of depending and building their spirituality on Christ in them. Everyone, whole of Humanity is the Body of Christ, for our information and knowledge. Therefore, there is difference between being RELIGIOUS and being SPIRITUAL.
It's sad that when people bastardized a term instead of saying 'they are fake' we look for another word to separate ourselves. Religion is spiritual. Check the root meaning. It's better to say you are a Sango worshipper, Muslim, Buddhist etc than to use those words to qualify yourself
In Christianity, what happened is what Isaiah said and echoed by Jesus: “Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: ”
Isaiah 29:13 KJV
So one's heart can be severed from God, a spiritual being, but still acts religious; that's false. He can even fast, pray and do good a lot but it's all for human glory. Not to please his maker.
That's why Jesus rebuked the Pharisees who appeared piety outside but filthy inside.
You are on your own! Walkabout. God asked 'him' where are coming from? He said, God you know as usual, I am walking to and fro. No destination in particular! May God drliver you in Jesus name.
Why did he go there at all if he does not believe in him or thinks he is fake? Why did he even accept that daddy G.O should pray for him at all if he does not believe his prayers would be answered
I wonder why many elite idol worshipers dont come out straight. Sowore is an idol worshiper,why can he not just say it. Why did he not refuse the prayer?
To be honest, the kind of Christianity Africa practice can't save people like swore and wole Soyinka. The churches in Africa have become place of exploitation and business centre. Know this and know peace
