I've read the script. No spoilers, but it's more of a war movie than a Christian film. Kind of Christian in the true-story sense like Hacksaw Ridge was a Christian war film. I don't know much about Apa but I'm curious to see how he does in this role.
It sucks so much that Angel Studios is like outrageously profitable on some of the most low effort absolute shit films that feel streaming-quality but released theatrically and make like 5 times its budget, Sound of Freedom, King of Kings or that show The Chosen even being played theatrically
Its a shame because having seen KJ Apa opposite Madelyn Cline in The Map That Leads to you I thought he was surprisingly really good, not a fan of Riverdale, but he is a pretty decent actor but it seems like heβs just going to be spending much of his career doing faith-bait films and appealing to that core demographic
