Telling God you're Lord does not put him under pressure and does not make him favor you, this is flat out lies and a complete false teaching, there're many people who acknowledge his Lordship every day and yet their life is not so desirable and that's not a problem to God. You believe these false teachers because you think God is obligated to do something for you.
