  1. I make up my mind to live a prayerful life with fastings and the word of God. Holy Spirit,I am deeply sorry for the sin of negligence (preaching and teaching the word of God) over the years. Please, forgive and heal and restore me in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

  3. Very interesting! Perfectionism. That was always my perception of Methodism. I never thought of it as intent. I strive hard to PERFECT sanctification ALWAYS. NEVER going to happen in this life. Doesn't matter. It IS my reward in this life regardless! The overwhelming sweetness of my communion with my God. I'm going to revisit the practice of fasting. I'm in my 9th day of a schedule limited 16 day water fast… They're periodic, not scheduled weekly πŸ€” in the context of my rigorous training 6 days a week.

  4. Earn as much as you can, ethically, with hard work, with integrity, there's no virtue in voluntary poverty when the capacity to produce exists.

Save as much as you can, not out of greed but out of the refusal to enslave yourself to consumerism, ..(Christians should not spend money to satisfy the desires of the flesh, the lust of the eyes & the pride of life)

Give all you can, start with tithing but don't stop there.

  6. Satisfying a desire unnecessarily doesn't satisfy it, but rather intensifies it. When you give in to the desire of the flesh by doing something that pleasurable to your flesh. You dont extinguish the desire, but rather feed it. It it become more voracious.
