  4. Notes: Grace Conference Supernatural Shift 2025 Day 1 || Dr. Arome Osayi || Austria || 4th April 2025

    Introduction
    Theme:
The sermon revolves around the urgent call to shift from a form of Christianity that is carnal and powerless to one that is spirit-led, living, and deeply experiential. The preacher challenges believers to move from religion to relationship, from form to fire, and from neglecting the Holy Spirit to total surrender to His authority.

    Key Scriptures:

Acts 5:32 – “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.”

John 7:38-39 – On the outpouring of the Spirit following the glorification of Jesus.

Romans 5:10 – Legal and living aspects of salvation.

John 3:3 – The necessity of new birth for spiritual perception.

Psalm 110:1-3 – Glorification of Christ and its role in Pentecost.

Isaiah 40:29-31 – Strength for those who wait on the Lord.

    Purpose:
To awaken the body of Christ—especially in Western contexts—to the necessity of Spirit-led Christianity. The sermon addresses the disconnect between historical revivals and modern stagnancy, and provides the theological and experiential foundations for genuine spiritual renewal.

    Main Teachings
    1. Christianity is Faith in a Person—Jesus Christ
Our salvation, identity, and power derive from relationship with Christ.

Disconnection from Jesus results in a descent into the carnal state—characterised by weakness, compromise, and limited effectiveness.

    Two life options:

Carnal Life: Dominated by flesh, limited by human ability.

Spiritual Life: Governed by the Holy Ghost, aligned with the life of Christ.

    2. The Legal and Living Aspects of Salvation
    Legal Aspect:

Jesus satisfied divine justice on the cross.

    Accomplished forgiveness, justification, and reconciliation.

Provided the right to enter into God’s life.

    Living (Organic) Aspect:

Ongoing experience of Christ’s life through the Holy Spirit.

    Involves:

    Renewing the mind (Romans 12:2)

Transformation through life experiences and trials.

Conformity to the image of Christ.

    3. The Holy Spirit Given to Those Who Obey
    Acts 5:32 reveals:

The Holy Spirit is given not just to those who believe, but to those who obey.

Obedience to the Spirit unlocks new dimensions of spiritual experience and power.

    Disobedience leads to:

    Dormant Christianity.

A life driven by flesh, with the Holy Spirit "asleep" within.

    4. Recognising the Authority of the Holy Ghost
The shift begins by acknowledging the Holy Spirit’s authority.

    Without honouring Him, believers:

    Remain powerless.

Operate in form rather than substance.

The Holy Spirit will not force Himself; He withdraws where He is dishonoured.

    5. Spiritual Senses and the Life of Perception
John 3:3: Being born again enables spiritual perception (Greek: eidō – to perceive).

Believers are meant to see, hear, know, and discern God’s kingdom.

    Four spiritual senses:

Knowing of Revelation – Intuitive, heart-based revelation.

Sight of Affection – Visions and visual spiritual encounters.

Hearing of Faith – Supernatural sensitivity to God's voice.

Taste of Discernment – Spiritual judgment and clarity.

    6. Worship as Surrender
Worship is not mere singing but sacrifice.

It involves laying down pride, immorality, bitterness, and self-confidence.

Real worship is a lifestyle of daily dying to self and living unto Christ.

    Illustrations and Examples
Phone Ringing Analogy: Demonstrates seriousness in reverence to God during service.

John Knox's House (Scotland): Preacher feels tangible fire of revival—a legacy not of formula but of life.

Azusa Street (USA): Visitation and historic miracles; proof that revival is not dead but abandoned.

Personal Story: Preacher was born a stammerer but was healed and empowered by the Holy Ghost.

Mechanic Illustration: Honda body with a Peugeot engine—symbol of Christians with natural bodies but supernatural life.

    Practical Applications
Daily Acknowledge the Holy Spirit as King and Guide.

Repent from neglecting the Holy Spirit—daily realignment is vital.

    Develop spiritual perception by:

    Regular prayer and fasting.

    Meditating on Scripture.

Yielding to the Spirit’s nudges, no matter how small.

Understand that obedience unlocks more of the Holy Ghost's power.

Seek transformation through surrender, not convenience.

Be determined to make your own story with God—don’t rely on past revivals.

Prioritise eternal investment over temporal comfort.

    Key Takeaways
Christianity must be a living relationship with God, not a form or routine.

The Holy Spirit only manifests in power to those who obey Him.

Legal salvation opens the door; living salvation transforms you daily.

Spiritual perception is the proof of spiritual life.

Worship is measured by what you surrender, not by what you sing.

True revival begins with repentance and realignment.

Without recognising the authority of the Holy Spirit, Christianity becomes powerless.

Europe’s spiritual decline is linked to the neglect of the Holy Spirit.

Revival is possible—if we shift into full surrender and obedience.

    Conclusion
The core message is clear: God is alive, but He is not alive to many of us because we have ignored Him. This sermon is a call to shift, to move from a powerless Christianity to one flooded by the Holy Spirit. The preacher urges the Church—especially in Europe—to return to the foundations, to repent, and to obey the Holy Ghost as the key to revival, relevance, and restoration.
