Whenever you see these four characteristics of a nation, understand that that nation has fallen. The first characteristic is pride. The second characteristic is the abundance of food and idleness. The fourth characteristic is weakening of the poor and needy. This was the iniquity of the nation Israel and Judah in the days of king Nebuchadnezzar and this was the Iniquity of Sodom and Gomorrah and this is the iniquity of the United States of America. Ezekiel 16:49 says: Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. Now pride according to the word of God is mans will instead of God's will. It was pride that produced the fullness of bread or gluttony. Pride also produced idleness which is a Nation or a person who is not active for the Lord. For it was a combination of pride and idleness that also produced homosexuality in Sodom. Lastly, it was pride that withheld the Nation's leadership from strengthening the hand of the poor and needy. As a result, these nations paid a price from God Almighty. For America is on its death bed because these Iniquities exist in her.
