I would be interested to know how much of the tithing income this church receives, after being challenged by sermons like these, gets ploughed back into ministry (ministry development, support of missionaries, missions projects, evangelism outreach, support for the poor and destitute etc.). Does this even happen or is it used to pay big salaries and build bigger, fancier church campuses? The true mark of a God-centered church can be seen in how they allocate and manage their tithes and incomes. In our church, a minimum of 60% of our income gets diverted straight back into missions and service. Growing the kingdom of God. The balance, 40%, is used for salaries, church administration and church (congregation) growth activities.
