  2. Thank you for sharing this video about  America's history – of this great revival that swept two continents, before radio or TV and without the help of the organized church. The clergy of the day would not share their pulpits so he preached in the open air. What a maverick he was!  He stepped out of the box and obeyed God, saving many hundreds of thousands of people across two continents. George Whitefield is an important part of American history.

  3. What a wonderful tribute to what our Lord will do if his people are willing. Ohh Lord rise up in the hearts of mankind. Create in us a willing heart to do what you desire us to do

  4. This man of God came preaching nothing save Christ and Him crucified. He did not preach revolt and rebellion against the King of England. How can you usurp the anointed ministry of the Spirit of God through this humble servant to legitimize your bloody rebellion!

  5. The Great Awakening actually began in the middle colonies where Theodore J. Frelinghuysen (1691 – 1747) began preaching in the 1720s. Frelinghuysen was a minister of the Dutch Reformed Church. Frelinghuysen was a Dutch Calvinist born in Lingen in East
Friesland. He learned of the need for trained ministers among the Dutch congregations in America. He immigrated to New Jersey in his late 20s. He served in the Raritan Valley of New Jersey beginning in 1720. The Great Awakening broke forth from his pulpit before Jonathan Edwards and the Preaching of George Whitefield.
Frelinghuysen was an eloquent preacher who stressed the need for spiritual revival. He took William Tennent’s son Gilbert under his wing. Gilbert was a Presbyterian whereas Frelinghuysen was Dutch Reformed. Gilbert experienced something of a godly jealously – his hungered to be a fruitful evangelist as was his friend Frelinghuysen.
He found in the Great Awakening men of God who felt as he did. There were some people who were opposed to Frelinghuysen and appealed to Amsterdam. But he continued to work toward creating a separate organization for the American Dutch Calvinist churches. He organized an assembly and asked permission from Amsterdam in 1747 to do so. The approval was given in the year in which he died – 1747. Consequently, Frelinghuysen was important in forming the Dutch Reformed Church in America.

  6. The
Bible teaches that the Spirit of Elijah would be sent to the
earth a total of 5 times (5 being the number of grace). By Spirit of
Elijah, I mean God’s spirit anointing a man to bring a message, in
the same way that the first Elijah was anointed. The Spirit of
Elijah is not the man, but God’s Spirit using the man in a
certain way to convict and call His people.

    First,
    Elijah Himself
    Elijah
himself displayed characteristics common to every messenger sent with
the Spirit of Elijah. He was a straight shooter, a hard hitter that
didn’t mind telling it like it was. He was a lover of the
wilderness, and he spoke out against immorality, especially the
immorality of women typed in Jezebel. The government (of Arab and
Jezebel) was against him and tried to silence his ministry. These and
many other themes repeat in the ministries of the other four
messengers anointed with the Spirit of Elijah.
    Second
    – Elisha

And it came to pass, when
they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall
do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I
pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
    II
    Kings 2:9

And when the sons of the
prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit
of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed
themselves to the ground before him.
    II
    Kings 2:15
    Third
    – John the Baptist (Forerunner to Jesus’ First Coming)

    Behold, I will send my
messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom
ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the
covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD
    of hosts.
    Malachi
    3:1

And he shall go before him in
the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to
the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make
ready a people prepared for the Lord.
    Luke
    1:17

    And Jesus answered and said
unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But
I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not,
but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also
the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he
spake unto them of John the Baptist.
    Matthew
    7:11-13
    Fourth
    – Forerunner to Jesus’ Second Coming
    Reading
Malachi 3 as referring to John the Baptist’s fore-running of Jesus’
first coming, Malachi 4 can be read as another fore-runner preparing
the way for Jesus’ second coming. This man will turn the hearts of
the children (the believer’s of today) to the original faith
preached by the early church apostles (fathers), just as John turned
the hearts of the fathers of Israel to the children that received his
    message of the coming Christ.

  7. Malachi
    4:5
predicts that this messenger will come before
    the great and
dreadful day of the Lord, and if his message is rejected, the earth
will be smitten with a curse.
    Luke
    1:17
specifically states that John would turn the hearts of the fathers to
the children (Jesus’ first coming), but does not include the
    Malachi
    4:5
reference to turning the hearts of the children to the fathers
    (Jesus’ second coming).

    This
is similar to how Jesus, in the synagogue, began to read from Isaiah
    61:1-2,
but stopped halfway through verse 2 before he got to “and the day
of vengeance of our God”. He would fulfill that part of that verse
at His second coming, but not His first.

And Jesus answered and said unto
them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew
him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise
shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
    MATTHEW 17:11-12
    In
    Matthew
    17:11-12
Jesus refers to both the third and fourth comings of the Spirit of
Elijah. In verse 11, he tells the disciples that Elias will first
    come and restore all
    things (Revelation
    10:7).
John the Baptist, who he refers to in verse 12, did not restore all
things (reveal every mystery in the Bible). Verse 11 is about someone
in the future, Verse 12 is about someone in the past.

  8. FIND THE FULLFILLMENT OF THIS PROPHECY AND YOU WILL FIND REVIVAL FOR YOUR SOUL———-1679 Jane prophecy of Lead, a 17th century prophetess:

                                   This
    was a prophecy given by:

                      Make
yourself ready for the time is at hand

    1679
Prophecy to the Sons of God redeliveredby
Charles Price. Few Quotes Bro Branham

    "There
shall be a total and full redemption by Christ. This is a hidden
mystery not to be understood without the revelation of the Holy
Spirit. The Holy Spirit is at hand to reveal the same unto all
    holy seekers and loving enquirers.

    The
completion of such a redemption is withheld and abstracted by the
seals of Revelation. Wherefore as the Spirit of God shall open seal
after seal, so shall this redemption come to be revealed, both
    particularly and universally.

    In
the gradual opening of the mystery of redemption in Christ doth
consist the unsearchable wisdom of God which may continually reveal
new and fresh things to the worthy seeker.

    In
order to which the Ark of the Testimony in Heaven shall be opened
before the end of this age, and the living testimony herein
    contained shall be unsealed.
    "The
presence of the Divine Ark (Christ) will constitute the life of this
Virgin Church, and wherever this body is, there must the Ark
    of necessity be.

    The
unsealing of the living testimony within the Ark of God must begin
the promulgation of  the everlasting gospel of the Kingdom. The
proclamation of the testimony will be as the sounding of a trumpet
of alarm to the nations of  professed Christendom. Authority
shall be given by Christ to the putting an end to all controversies

    concerning
the true church that is born of the New Jerusalem mother.

    This
decision will be the actual sealing of the body of Christ with the
name (or authority) of God, giving them a commission to act by the
same. This new name (or authority) will distinguish them from the
seven thousand names of Babylon.     1
    "The
election and preparation of this Virgin Church is to be after a
secret and hidden manner. As David
in his ministry was chosen and anointed by the prophet of the Lord,
yet was not admitted to the outward profession of the kingdom for a
    considerable time afterward,

    of
the stem of David a Virgin Church, which hath known nothing of a man
or human constitution, is to be born,
and it will require some time for it to get out
    of the minority and arrive
    at full and mature age.

    "The
birth of this Virgin Church was typified by St. John's vision where
the great wonder appeared in heaven, bringing forth her first born,
that was caught up to the throne of God (or identified with the
authority of God). For as a virgin woman brought forth Christ
    after the flesh,
    So
shall a Virgin Church bring forth the first born. after the Spirit,

    who
shall be endowed with the seven spirits of God.

    This
church so brought forth and sealed with the mark of divine authority
will have no bonds or impositions; but the holy unction
among these new born spirits will be all in all,

    "There
    is not at this day (1679) visible upon the earth such a church;
all profession being found light when weighed in the balances.
Therefore they are rejected by the Supreme Judge, which rejection
will be for this cause, that out of them may come a new and
    glorious church.

    Then
shall the glory of God and the Lamb so rest upon this typical
tabernacle, so that it shall be called the Tabernacle of Wisdom,

    and
though it is not now known in visibility, yet it shall be seen as
coming out of the wilderness within a short time. Then will it go on
to multiply and propagate itself universally, not only to the number
of the first born (144,000) but also to the remnant of the seed,
against whom the dragon will make war continually.           2
    "Wherefore
the spirit of David shall revive in this church and most especially
in some elect members of it as the blossoming root.
These will have might given them to overcome the dragon and his
angels even as David overcame Goliath and the Philistine army.

    This
will be the standing up of the great prince Michael, and it will be
as the appearing of  Moses against Pharaoh in order that the chosen
seed may be brought out of hard servitude. "Egypt doth

    figure
this servile creation under which Abraham's seed groans,

    but
a prophet, and the most prophetical generation, will the Most High
raise up who shall deliver His
    people by the force of spiritual arms;
    for
which there must be raised up certain head powers to bear the first
office, who are to be persons in favor with God whose dread
and fear shall fall on all nations visible and invisible,
because of the mighty acting power of the Holy Spirit which shall
    rest upon them.

    For
Christ will appear in some chosen vessels to bring into the Promised
    Land the New Creation state.

    "Thus
Moses, Joshua, and Aaron may be considered types
of some upon whom the same Spirit
will come, yet in greater proportion.

    Whereby
they shall make way for the ransomed of the Lord to return to Mt.
Zion; but none shall stand under God but those who have become
    "tried" stones after the pattern
    and similitude of Christ. This
will be fiery trial through which a very
    few will be able to
pass or bear up in it.

    Whereby
the waiters for this visible breaking forth are strictly charged to
hold fast, and wait together in the unity of Pure Love.

    This
trial will be of absolute necessity to all for the clearing
away of all remaining infirmities of the natural mind, and the
burning of all wood, hay, and stubble. For nothing must remain in the
fire, for as a refiner shall He purify the sons of the Kingdom.    3

  9. I like the video except that you seem to imply that the colonial rebellion against the British was a good thing, or that God approved of it. The bible says that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Samuel 15:23) and the reason for the rebellion being about paying taxes, but Jesus said to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar in Matthew 22:20-22. Jesus also preached that we are to love our enemies (Can you love your enemies while trying to kill them?). I like what you said about George Whitefield, but I hope you will reconsider your views of the American Revolution. Perhaps you may be interested in this book. https://www.scrollpublishing.com/store/more-In-God-Trust.html

  10. any one know of revival in U.S.A. going on now or a moving of the spirit or know of a website that tell about move of god in america i can not even find a site that even tells of what is going on pleases help

  11. Great servant of God. Just one point, though: at the beginning of the video, the city of Gloucester, England was mentioned. It should have been pronounced like Gloster, to rhyme with foster.

  12. Don't forget that God used two men who, although they had theological differences, were both greatly used of God in their own particular way. God used both Whitefield and Wesley and we should not attribute to either one or the other something which God Himself chose to do through them both.

  13. I enjoyed the parts about his messages & ministries. I was saddened by the overwhelming call to patriotism & the allusion that America was founded as a Christian nation. Very misleading. Most of the founding fathers were deists.

  14. It is evident that this man showed forth the labors of a true Holy Ghost filled servant, first, holiness of heart,or entire sanctification, then the baptism of power for service. Pray for me brethren, that I can experience something of these marvelous experiences and touch my generation for Christ.
