  1. Is this testimony teaching others that divorce and remarriage is part of Gods plan?
Jesus taught to be reconciled to your wife or else remain single.
I rejoice for his reconnecting with God. I mourn his separation from Gods will with his spouse.

  2. This is so common these Christian bands and rappers live just like the world and their music reflects it too. It is a shame they call their music Christian because it's more like the World than Christ. Conforming to the world not good but it is last days now.

  3. I feel bad for his ex-wife. It's great when someone can come back to the Lord and move on, but you always leave collateral damage behind you… What a shame for her. I pray she has found or continued her joy in the Lord without being stumbled like he was. Guys need to gird up their loins like a man and live godly, famous or not no excuses.

  4. It would be amazing to see a reunion performance with all the Newsboys singers doing the greatest hits of their era. It's amazing that he was honest with himself and came back from the darkness. Many christian musicians walk away and never look back.

  6. Sadly, when a person struggles, Christians desert them and turn their back on them. They should have come along side him, supported him, ministered to him, helped him instead of kicking him out of the band. I have seen this over and over again when I talked with those who have left the church. They go to their Pastor or church community for help but end up being cut off.

  7. I’ve been listening to the news boys since the John James years. They were one of the first Christian bands I ever listened to, even before giving my life to Jesus. I got to meet John at the creation festival. I’ve heard rumors over the years, but it’s really nice to finally hear him talk about what happened.

  8. I really enjoyed listening to the Newsboys. I remember seeing them at Darien Lake in the 80's at a Christian festival. I still recall later seeing them there again and John James was not the lead singer. t was not the same (change is always hard). I wondered what happened. Thanks for sharing John. Very powerful. We never know what the Lord has in store for us. Think about it, you are still ministering to the youth but in a different format!

  9. It’s very hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Being wealthy and famous does not jive with the Gospel, which is why I say many/most that are famous and say they are Christians are indeed not at all. Jesus calls us to be broken, lowly, humble, not esteemed, spit upon, and dejected. Those who truly follow Christ are not esteemed among men, do not have many friends, and are supernaturally gifted beyond their own natural abilities. Christian superartists meet none of these criteria. ❌🙅‍♂️

  10. I meet you John, during the Going Public tour. I had always wondered why you left and I can completely relate and it takes courage and strength to say what you said during this video and it touched me and I respect you more for making this video and I feel I have grown and am a better person because from watching this.

  11. You and Peter are the voice of the Newsboys for me. I’ve seen you and Peter sing so many times that when Michael joined, I could know longer listen to the Newsboys because it felt more like a product then a band.
