What I see is not so much a false profession of faith (7:21 in) ; but rather a false profession of lifelong dedicated service to our Lord. Serving God is not a part-time job. It is 24/7 and if you really care, it is exhausting. "…If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." DENY THYSELF; not FOR a moment but FROM the moment you are in service to Christ. Most people won't agree to that, but they will say that they do.
