Love these hymns I grew up with in South Africa. 1950's, boarding school twice a Sunday and Religious instruction as a school subject. Psalm and short verse hymn to start school day. Precious memories.
I love the speed you guys sing. I was in choir for over 20 yrs. Our choir director would always avoid letting songs drag on. It was a large church with a lot of musical talent and a full orchestra.
Thanks for putting this together. I grew up in a Methodist church in the UK where we sang most of these, but only one (Christ the Lord is risen today) to the same tune as this collection! These are the tunes we used:

What is your favorite Charles Wesley hymn?
In "O For A Thousand Tongues." shouldn't it be "cancelled sin", not "reigning sin"? Quite a doctrinal difference. Thanks for these hymns.

The singer(s) should have slowed down a bit. Was he trying to catch a train or something ?

Forgotten where? In US, Europe? Definetely not in Udupi where I grew up and not in Bengaluru where we worship! Almost all of them were known!

I can remember the tunes from going to Chapel with my Great Grandmother. I am now 95 and the music is joy to my ears
