Anyone who's asking for his successor is carnally minded, it implies several things. It is only God who knows what is going on in the mind of this individual. May God forgive him or anyone involved.
I've seen just a handful of critical comment here so far.
I am a Catholic. There is no issue of succession in the catholic church because there is a laid-down doctrine or process on how to choose a new pope. It has to do with prayers and all but, the bottom line is that, there is a process to it.
For the bishops, once a sitting bishop is 75, he will retire. A few months before that, they will name his successor. He will use these few months to teach the new bishop how to lead his diocese (the area under his jurisdiction).
The old bishop will still be respected. He will be taken care of but most of his duties will be carried out by the new bishop.
With this, the doctrine can carry on. No chaos can ensue in the church if he dies because someone has been mentored to take over his position.
A lot of Pentecostal church criticize the Catholic Church and Anglican Church but I wonder if they cannot adopt some of their processes. I mean there is a reason why the Catholic Church keep standing even after hundreds of decades.
But when the leader of a Pentecostal church dies, the church most likely dies with him. This is very true to a large extent.
The manner in which the church leaders must have asked Pastor Kumuyi must have been unruly. Nonetheless, they might just be overzealous disciples who wish for the longevity of their Church.
Asking for a successor is not bad as annoying as the request may seem.
As much as the Church is a spiritual entity, without good organisation and management, it may crumble. God will not come from Heaven to manage us.
Where is the agreement pastor ķumuyi signed for his retirement age for you in his ministry. If you can't produce that shut up and go and repent of evil jealousy. Greedy men everywhere, any time I see you again in the media we wash that your old bald head . OK? Gehazi.
