I have an amazing story I'd love for you guys to hear about. One day I was driving home. All the sudden the Lord came to me in Spirit and there was no denying it. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, so I said "ok Lord play "Come as you are by nirvana". I turned on my radio, turned up the volume, and the song started playing right there on the spot, so perfectly. I started getting flooded on the inside by the Holy Spirit, like a waterfall of chills. He stayed with me the whole ride home, til I got outta the car. It was Jesus. Had me cryin like a little kid.
Eddie Jerome Vedder is an American singer, musician and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and one of four guitarists of the rock band Pearl Jam.
I could abslutely be wrong, but much of the freeway shots appear to be in Oregon on a path I travel fairly often. Beautiful and the song is great as well.
I dreamed about you last night, Ed. I was finally able to tell you to your beautiful face what you have meant to me for thirty years. To me and to my brother. You spoke for us when we didn't have voices to speak for ourselves… you handled our hearts in the careful and loving way we needed but often didn't get. You freed pieces of us with each song. I love you endlessly. You're my forever friend…. whether you know it or not. <3
Why are such beautiful songs always so sad. I agree there is definitely a Tom Petty feel here for me as well which makes the song resonate even more. Beautiful Eddie, love to listen.
This song has the depth of Tom Petty & Heart Breakers. When I first heard it on (WXRT), I was drawn into the downbeat of the drummer. That is what got me in interested. Once I realized it was Eddie and his band, I knew what he was trying to accomplish. This is a well-crafted song, from a band that understands the wall-of-sound. Not a laptop as a band. This song is performed by a real band made up by musicians & backup singers that have an understanding of the craft of song writing.

Also gives me some Bowie vibes somehow.

To me he sounds like Jackson Browne meets Tom Petty with a slice of Joe Satriani.
Obsessed with the whole album Eddie's such an amazing talented artist. He truly doesnt get the recognition he deserves.

Shame on you Vedder. The people that think you are a friend to them need eyes in the back of their heads. RIP C.C.
