But, I’ll add this to the conversation that he might not know and I do because I worked with Don Lemon. Ed Jr. asked or acknowledged Don’s extreme focus on the story at this time, and Ed Jr expressed his disappointment in Don. I also personally approached Don Lemon in the locker room and told Don Lemon that I was a student who the Bishop financed and put through college for 4 years and the Bishop didn’t even know me AND I didn’t attend the church. I told Don I would go on his show if he wanted me to, but I would only do it to defend the Bishop in his character (without discrediting the accusers) to give an alternative or balance to the negativity he was currently receiving at that time. Don told me that he would like to have me on his show, but that I should think about that and return to him later that day if I decided to continue. Don then stopped me as I was walking out the locker room and said let me tell you something personal. He told me that I had to be careful about who I go on tv to defend bc sometimes people you respect can do somethings that should not be defended. He continued on and told me that he was raped as a child, and abused. He said he had that personal experience. He didn’t say it with passion or any feeling at all. He simply shared that with me as advice. I returned to him later that day and admitted that I could not say anything against the accusers bc their story was their story, but that I wanted to share my story. Don stayed true and said “ok. Get ready.” He then told me again that he would have me on, but that he had sent out many calls to the Long family to come on his show and speak on the situation. He said that the Long family had agreed to come on, and that hours before they were to come to the studio they declined and could no longer be contacted. When I heard that I backed away. I said to myself if his own family isn’t coming on to defend him then maybe they know something I don’t, and I didn’t want to go on tv to defend a person that appeared guilty in the moment when even his family backed out. So, basically Don’s extra energy on this story was personal to him, and I thought at the time that it was fair for Don to have sent an invitation for the family to come on. Then weeks later came the “almost divorce” and you all know the rest of the story that was made public. I’ll tell this to Ed Jr if we ever cross paths, since we did play basketball together briefly as kids and I think we even went to the same high school, but he was a couple of years younger than me.
Don lemon aint do nowhere near what your nasty ass father done. You had no right trying to check someone because your father was the one speaking iLL of the gays and went against gay marriage, then got caught doing the exact same thing he been protesting.
