Nigeria was not created by the indigenes of this land and it was as not created for our own interests and progress. The only solution for anything and everyone to live and thrive is to disintegrate and allow the indigenous peoples to go back to where they came from and return to their original roots values and traditions, anything other than this is a mad man’s mental illness of doing the same thing all over again and expecting different results.
I have told people many times that the biggest wahala we have as a nation has a lot to do with our culture. Let me give you a typical example. When I first came to the U.S., I found it difficult to express myself most especially in the work environment. My boss would say do this or do that & it is done. We were trained not to question our ogas. In the environment where I grew up in, your oga is telling you something and you are telling your oga that you have an idea. Your oga will say so you think you know more than me Abi. Before you know it, you will be fired. In the U.S. however, it is the complete opposite. If your boss tells you to do something, you are free to tell your boss can we look at it this way or that way. If we do it this way, this is likely going to be a better outcome. Your boss will say ok, go & do it your way & let me see the result. You are looked at positively for having initiative. In Nigeria, we could not have initiative. This is just a simple example of why we are not making progress as a whole.
Great interview. Bisi did fantastic well and every other Ladies, less I forget our guest speaker Dr Sam, did great diagnostics and analysis of Nigeria Leaders and Leadership is issues. Thank you.
Great conversation! It is important to note, YK and Nyma, that the religious leaders being gifted rolls royce on their birthday is the least of Nigeria's problems. They didnt steal it. And there are a lot of things that those leaders do for the people that is oblivious to the public, because they have a culture of not showing off when they give. Let's face the political leaders who are actively stealing the nation's wealth to enrich themselves.
Nimah hit a strong cord, but time or whatever shelved it.
I appreciate Sam Adeyemi's knowledge and teachings, i hope everyone noticed that he spoke little about the west being the problem, we are the problem !
However, i must say that that poverty can make u be a criminal and raise criminals. Furthermore, these ladies are shouting hmmn like the words sink, when actually they will sing the praises of Tinubu tomorrow(maybe cus he is their boss or cus he is beneficial to them in some way) and act like they dont know that Tinubu is a problem to Nigeria and the future.
Great conversation from Revd Sam. I think when you bring a guest, you should give them time to talk and later you can accommodate people to call in. The time for your guest is so small and it is better for them to express or talk to the topic they are called for.
Such a great convo. I wish there was more time and that these messages are reinforced constantly. Having said that, Nigeria may already be out of time for a number of reasons:
1. Changing and hyperaccelerated global economics is at the root of the collapse of our family systems and values. And we are too weak, too divided to provide the shield against this ruthless externality (just look at ALL our past leaders – all pre-selected by the ruthless Western elites and the best of us never allowed to lead us.
2. Some of us have already designed their own vision for Nigeria (that is, to be a majority Islamic state) and are working very hard towards achieving that vision.
3. The people who have some power, resources to FORCE (it has to be forced) , an ALTERNATIVE Vision on Nigeria and Africa at large, the religious class that Pastor Adeyemi belongs to and the Business Elites, are so lost in their romance and material interlocking with the West it is simply too much to ask they commit class suicide.
The only hope is that there is a counter-historical force brewing somewhere gathering momentum slowly that no one saw coming and force its own vision on the people. But it must be completely competent: bio-political, socio-economic, technological-military, psycho-spiritual, etc to have a true chance of enduring. Not another coup or savior-complex political party
Pastor Adeyemi: there is no part of Nigeria that does not desire development.
Now, that's where the problem is. The idea of development varies across the ethnic groups. There may never be an idea of "development" that is acceptable to all.

@17", foreigners making you cash cow is not the primary problem. Are they the perpetrators of all the theft and corrupt practices all over?
Regional form of government made a lot of good impact on Nigeria building
