Yes indeed . However I dealt with a guy whose mother told him the things that he couldn't do. As much as I encouraged and tried to help him . He reverted back to his mothers words .. its just a very bad thing.
I married for 40years and did that but he abused it He became too comfortable and lazy And eventually divided and destroyed his family I later learnt he is a Covert Narcissist
So please ladies watch out who you make your home comfortable for Some are devils to destroy
