I remember the sermon called where he referred to Bishop as “the gate.” I thought that was so beautiful I watched it several times. You can tell the admiration and respect he has for Bishop is genuine, and it’s evident that the Bishop feels the same. ❤❤❤❤
Sometimes we blame ourselves for the tough things but I have come to reconcile that we only know what we know when we know it and so we can only act on it when we know it. So you got to spend two precious weeks with your father along a seeking journey, a journey where you were seeking to know him and yourself. I hope this makes sense because we are only there when we get there but we have to continue to seek, to grow and to find ourselves. The chapter with your father culminated in healing and now you get to continue that journey to where you are able to embrace those in your life and you don't end up losing them and having to fit a lifetime into a few weeks. That is healing, that is progress, that is growth! Continued blessings my brother, as you continue the journey and cross the bridges that color your journey to finding self!
Leadership is a heavy mantle and weight to carry, but its rewarding and honorable to lead with excellence for Our FATHER'S GLORY. Some people were created to love, support, encourage develop, mold, and shape others for their KINGDOM purpose! Thank You Holy Spirit!
Thank you for sharing this. You might never hear or see how powerful this piece was to so many. To God be the glory. When you think you’re the only one God has a way of showing you, “nope, I’ve got others just like you and just like I got them, I Have You!”🥰🙏🏾
47:29 is how it is seeing a loved one on a ventilator for a year, but not being able to speak with them. Communication changes when you can’t rely on “the voice” anymore. Value the vulnerability you both demonstrate through this and I pray it helps black and brown families heal, who haven’t quite ascended beyond color just yet- to have the tough talks so often avoided, generationally. Some healing is outside of the pews, the “pulpits” or the “altars.” Some are in the comfy chair or through sitting on the sofa alongside the therapist. It’s a reminder Jesus is the wonderful counselor when nothing else works or matters. 🫂🙏🏽🕊️ Out of all the titles that come with leading a church, pastoring is the best because of the ability to counsel God’s people like our elders would want. 🥳
I needed to hear this today. Battling with the struggles of life. Knowing that I don’t have answers that I’m searching for. Knowing that the men in my life will never be able to help me. Still scared and confused. I’m 54 and unpacking my past. I’m scared, tired and exhausted
"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain" is the third of the Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20:7 and Deuteronomy 5:11. It prohibits using God's name disrespectfully, carelessly, or insincerely, including false oaths, profanity, empty prayers, or hypocrisy in living, which dishonors His character. I post this based on what was said around 1:19 of this podcast. 😢
I now understand the oil on Dr. Tudman's life. I now understand why whenever he's preaching, he has such a thick host of heaven around him and the congregants. I resonated with parts of his story… I cant wait to see the heights Dr. Tudman is ascending to, here on earth. We haven't seen anything yet. I have double honor for Bishop Jakes. We will never know the number of sons and daughters you have rescued…We can only say thank you for not quitting on them.
This interview was amazing! I can relate in many ways. Everybody needs a Mentor in their lives like Bishop Jakes, who will love you enough to tell you the truth about everything. Not someone who looks down on you and judges you. If I had somebody like him, I’d come out of my shell and be a force in God to be reckoned with. I’ll get there eventually.

Very powerful! Much needed!

“Little things that people wouldn’t think to teach a boy become a reminder he didn’t have a father in his life.” We cannot bypass this wisdom!!!!

Unball your fist, struggle with it so you can overcome it

This was amazing! Great respect for you both.
From the outset, I have consistently perceived him as your most favored spiritual protégé.
