I do wear a veil when I pray too. Both men and women did in biblical times, I remember reading that Moses wore a veil when he went to go speak to God in person when God showed himself as a cloudy Pilar.
We use to wear mantilla in church when I was a kid. I hated it. Then we were allowed to wear the small kind that just covered the top of the head. It was ok. I'm not sure how I feel about it. If I were to go to a church where that's what women do there, I would do it to show respect. I have long hair. What's most important is our hearts. I use to never wear pants except in very cold weather. I wore only dress and skirt with a top. But I wasn't growing spiritually. It was too much about the outward. For many years now I wear pants that are loose or shorts in summer with a top. Everything always very modest, no form fitting or low cut or skimpy. I am growing spiritually now but mostly because going through very tough times in many ways. Clothes are clothes as long as you look like the sex that GOD created you and are modest. And if we do all the outward things but are mean to people or brush them off or fake nice, what we do outwardly is just a big fat lie.
