It was based on colour of skin.And when the Spirit of God fell it removed all these earthly barriers and brought the Catholics, the baptists, the lutherans etc into oneness. The whites didn't see a black person being used as an instrument of God but humbly surrendered to the outworking of the Holy Spirit. What the church hadnt seen for ages was happening right in front of their eyes. Truly heavens came down and swept the lives of those who were given to the Holy Spirit. There was no one superior than the other. This movement is beyond what the churches of today can offer.The unity was not through mere doctrines but a genuine thirst for the fullness of God in His church. It was no more I or ME but it was more of US.The unity that the church saw during this time has never been seen after that.There was no Jew or Gentiles there. They all came together as one man. Be it black, white, yellow etc. This unity can never be the work of demons. For satan is working against the unity of the church. When you obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. Repent baptism in Jesus and are filled with the Holy Ghost you will speak in tongues. It’s the initial evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost. It’s biblical and I’m proof because I obeyed Acts 2:38
