We all have troubles and heartaches. I'm also an Alcoholic but I have cut down on my indulgence for many months. I'm also 74 yrs old but I'm an Alcoholic. If I could, I,d have a drink right now but I wouldn't enjoy it. My life is such a disaster that I need to escape by any means possible. I often think how exciting it was to be young and have girlfriends and other friends but now I'm very alone. It's painful to live like this. I can barely explain it. My only hope is Jesus Christ! Jesus loves me more than words can say. I still sin but I pray every night when I lay my head down. My God is a forgiving God and keeps my health well. The thief that insulted Lord Jesus Christ was condemned by his own words that came back to him as he was tormented for eternity. This story has been the subject of debate because many people think that the only way to heaven is through a good lifestyle. A thief has no good lifestyle because he steals from others to make his living. But Our Lord Jesus Christ is so forgiving that the thief who spoke of Him as a righteous Messiah is the one who our Lord Jesus Christ saved. We are not righteous enough to save anyone but Lord Jesus Christ save the thief.
God knows everything you are going through. God loves you and cares about you. God knows everything about you. If you die as a sinner without being saved, your spirit will be eternally separated from God. Come as you are. Right now. And accept the free gift of Salvation. So you can be reconciled with God. Romans 3.23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Jesus Christ died to save you. He bore your sins on the cross. Romans 5.8 “But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Your sins have separated you from God. Come as you are. Do not wait. The appointed time for salvation is now. Romans 10.9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Say a simple prayer right now. God our Father, I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I repent of my sins. I believe Jesus Christ is Your son and He died on the cross so I could be saved. God I believe in my heart You raised Him from the dead. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I will follow Jesus from this moment forward. Thank you for loving me God our Father and loving me Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
If you said this prayer, your sins have been forgiven, you are now saved, and God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in you. Your name has been written in the Lamb’s book of life. If you make a mistake, repent of it right away. Love everyone. Forgive everyone. Be humble. Be kind. Be patient. Galatians 5.16 “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” God will guide you and show you how to have peace through life’s challenges. Read and do what Paul writes by the will of God in the book of Ephesians 6.11-18 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all fiery darts of the wicked one. Billy Graham was the greatest preacher of all the time! His preaching and teaching were genuinely focused on eternal life that's the life to come! He barely preached on how to have a good life (riches, wealthy, etc) like nowadays preachers who are just preaching what people want to hear.
