  1. Well I got baptized as a little boy did I receive the power of the Holy Spirit I don't know I don't believe I did cuz I don't look at it that way I look at it as being sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise okay I think the difference is the work of the early church in power of the spirit that's why in Revelations the seven churches were being graded on their work's they were not right with God not all of their Works were right with God they were saved but their work's were not right and God could take the lamp away that's no longer would God be working through them if they were not willing to repent of their unrighteous works thank you and be blessed by my words and I want to let you know that the Earth is flat and stationary it is not a planet

  2. When you Peter and John ran into some believers and they inquired to them about the Holy Spirit and they did not know anything about the Holy Spirit and then you Peter laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit I didn't say they were baptized in water but he simply laid his hands on them to receive the bat prism of the Holy Spirit to you guys are thinking water and be baptized in Acts u-238 is being baptized in the Holy Spirit not in water you people are in a delusion mostly all of you

  3. You don't understand Acts chapter 2 that's your problem remember John the Baptist had the baptism of repentance saying to them to believe on the one that shall come after me and he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit so that's the laying on hands remember Jesus breathe on his disciples and they received the Holy Spirit Come on this is not hard okay yeah some of them got you get baptized in the water and that's a display kind of like of what you are believing and it shows you the death the burial and the resurrection to you new life life of justification

  4. Acts chapter 2 does not say and they were baptized in water now it said repent which means to change their mind and be baptized okay but that's being baptized in the Holy Ghost okay for the remission of your sins you're being baptized in the Holy Ghost not in water okay you people are delusional

  5. You remember the story of Cornelius Cornelius want it to be saved so God made sure to send UPG ter which was a Jew which was a Learning lesson for Peter also and at the same time getting the message of the Gospel to Cornelius and his house so do you know what happened when Peter came in Cornelius Bal down and you Peter he did the right thing stand up I am a man like you then he gave the gospel and guess what happened Cornelius was saved he received the Holy Spirit right then in there okay there was no water he was saved can't you see the transaction can't you understand reality why is it you men argue so much about the truth it's receiving the good news of Jesus Christ okay thank you and be blessed by my words

  6. What we have is a misunderstanding (and ultimately a disagreement) with what Acts 2:38 is all about. Always consider context. Pentecost was not very long after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus – and up to this point the gospel was not of individual salvation in Christ (to include Gentiles) – but "of the kingdom." Beginning with John (the baptizer) and throughout Jesus' earthly ministry, the message was "repent – for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." This was a strictly "Jewish" gospel, and had they accepted their Messiah at that time, things would have gone much differently. This knowledge, and retention of that message on into the book of Acts (particularly at the beginning), is essential in understanding Acts 2:38, as well as some of the other early passages in Acts. In Acts 1:6, the disciples had asked Jesus if He would at that time restore the kingdom to Israel – and that expectation did not change. Had their Acts 2:38 "repentance" become national (as with the case in Nineveh – from king to cattle, at the preaching of Jonah), it would have ushered in God's Kingdom, no doubt – (see also Acts 3:19 and on). So we must be cautious in how we apply historical narratives that are restrictive to a people. And it must also be understood that what we have in the book of Acts is twofold. On one hand we have God moving, and on the other we have the people responding. And they normally get it wrong. Transition away from the Jewish realm seems to occur at the stoning of Stephen, where we are introduced to Saul the persecutor, who would become Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles (non-Jews). No longer a "kingdom gospel," but of salvation in Christ – and the doctrine of believing (justification by faith – same as Abraham Gen. 15:6). That this was misunderstood even at that time is found in those who wanted the Gentiles to get circumcised and keep the law of Moses (Acts 15). I think this is what Moody knew, and so he could not quote the verses without expounding on them, because his audience at that time was already biased in what they thought they "knew;" not unlike many people in the days of Acts, nor in our own time.

  7. What do you do with the copious amounts of times salvation is mentioned through faith apart from works, by believing, by trusting, where it doesn't mention baptism at all? Acts 2:38 is just teaching that baptism shouldn't be separated from repentance. Once you repent and believe, the answer of that good conscience should be baptism. So in that way it saves us, but not as if it takes away sin, regenerates, or makes us in anyway in right standing with God. But I agree baptism should happen soon after salvation.

  8. The thief on the cross was never baptized in water, yet He was saved for merely believing on the Lord. We're saved because Jesus paid our sin debt of death – His blood. I hope you aren't going to be damned for adding one work to the cross.

We believe & are saved & sealed forever …THEN we are baptized in water as a physical representation of our spiritual new birth. When John baptized he taught baptism of water was a SHADOW of Christ who would baptize with the Holy Spirit. To be baptized by the Holy Spirit (born again, spiritually brought to life) one must simply TRUST IN JESUS & His SACRIFICE as full payment for ALL their sins (past, present & future) & His resurrection as our justification (proclaimed sinless).

We are baptized physically after we are baptized spiritually. It encourages other believers to see a soul expressing their inward faith. Don't twist scripture to act like we do anything but believe. Cherry picking!

  9. In the Old Testament to be saved they had to believe ON the Messiah who was to come. In the New Covenant we have to believe ON the Messiah who already came… Jesus.

Believe ON means TRUST in His death, burial & resurrection ALONE for permanent salvation instantly upon the moment of belief.

  10. WHEN ARE WE BORN AGAIN?
    Ephesians 1:12-14 KJV
"12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also TRUSTED, AFTER that ye HEARD the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your SALVATION: in whom also AFTER that ye BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIt of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory."
