  1. This might be a hot take, but I honestly think this ranks up there with "A Christmas Story" in terms of story and how funny it was. Wouldn't be surprised if this goes down as a classic the way that movie did. My own opinion.

  2. Can't believe that a (supposed) Christian would actually recommend a movie that blasphemes the Name of Jesus and still thinks the movies good to go see!!! WHAT??? Where is the fear of God???
Blasphemy in the old Testament required death!!!
Do you think God doesn't still take that seriously???
He does..but the blood of Jesus is standing between death and mercy…
    Christian…
Don't ever recommend a movie that disrespects the Lord in any way!!!
    Satan has taken a mile!!!

  3. Very accurate and solid review. Took my ma to see it and we both loved it. Plenty of laughs and tears. Already planning to make this movie a part of our Christmas plans every year along with "Scrooge" and "It's a Wonderful Life." An instant classic.

  4. every Christian theologian will admit that there's no way Messiah could've been born in Dec. at the very latest, October. Yet, we know He was born during the Feast of Tabernacles, on the 15th of September, the shepherds were still in the fields grazing sheep bc it was a mild mid-Sept. evening and they found Him lying in a TABERNACLE, TENT, BOOTH wrapped in swaddling clothes NOT on a bed of hay naked in a stable! Read the whole book!

  5. I remember seeing the first movie…
A couple scenes still stick out in my mind: The Communion Wine…
And the girl playing Mary, crying at Baby Jesus.
Oh, the setup/ending shot's of the Offering Plate being passed. 😂

  6. Glad to see it connecting with people. I went on the preview night when it was shown the week before it released and it was myself -my friend had to cancel at the last moment – and one other family. I was hoping that people would support it.

  7. It's a great story (haven't seen this movie version). It's about people setting aside their judgments of others and giving those who are different a chance to belong and change (repent if you prefer). Regardless of the embedded theological message, it's a timeless story and moral lesson.

  8. Saw it tonight. (fell asleep in part of it, but that's me, not the movie)
Honestly, I think it'll rank as one of the better Christmas moves across all audiences for a very long time. Dunno that it'll hit "Christmas Story" status, but I do think it'll do very, very well. (It reminded me a lot of the nostalgia associated with "Christmas Story")

And for an explicitly Christian movie, that's a very good thing!
