  1. As a Parent and Grandparent, I think people are overstepping the boundaries when offering SOMEBODY ELSE'S Children Dating Advice.

My Children were not allowed to date while in School, they could go to parties and have friend's but they were there to learn and not to be romanticly involved with others.

We were in Church and Prayer Meetings and Signings All Week, Every Week.. No Time for Non Sense..

  2. I'd say as far as dating goes, it's tough because I think it's important for someone to be emotionally ready for that kind of relationship and to not just get caught up in the heat of the moment (whether with arguments, raging hormones, or whatever else). On the other hand, it's probably worse for someone to repress their emotions and bottle them inside, and not gain insight to the social aspect of dating with experience before adulthood when you will have a harder time finding people of similar ages or interests to date.

I think the important thing is to be shown how important personal responsibility and accountability is as far as what good decisions are, and what bad decisions are. And to show teenagers that dating goes beyond the physical, and is more about compatibility than anything because someone's looks will change 10-20 years down the road. We are all imperfect, and it's about recognizing those things and not beating ourselves down over our mistakes, but learning from them whether it's making friends or finding a meaningful romantic relationship. I think parents also need to think less about punishment and more about mutual understanding, because explaining the why and explaining it well can really help their kids understand why some things are so important even if it's hard for the teenager to see it.

I think social issues have caused a lot of people to deal with depression and poor mental health more often over the years, so it's definitely an important issue to find good people to befriend and spend time with, since down the road it will have a bigger impact on someone's life than many of us may realize.

  3. I was searching for dating videos with sound advice to share with teens.I didn't know how to tell them in a way that would connect with them. God has provided. My teens might not use all the advice, but it is said in a way that I think they will seriously consider. Thank you!
