  1. This song really may be the best use of a “featured” artist I’ve ever heard for the story that’s being told. Charles sounds like the "older" dad singing to his son, and then Wyatt comes in with the higher youthful voice making that transition to the son singing to Dad.
    Incredible work.

  2. My daughter is 3 years old and the daddy daughter bond is something so strong that I was afraid when my son was born that it wouldn't match the intensity of the love I have for my daughter. He is 10 weeks old tomorrow and I have learned that it is just as intense of a love, just dynamically different. Children are such a blessing and my biggest fear is not getting to watch them grow up.

  3. My son is about to turn 9 months old, i cant believe how fast he has grown and how many firsts he has had. Don’t blink because time sure is a thief. Beyond blessed for my dad still being here to help me along the way. I love you Dad.

  4. My oldest boy just turned 18 yesterday. Just graduated high school. Is outspoken about injustices in this world. Aint always the brightest but always means well. Ain’t afraid of shit. Especially sticking up for others. He’s my best friend.

  5. So good yet so heart-wrenching at the same time. Especially after being in the hospital for most of a week and my dad’s wearing himself out taking care of me all these years… this lifetime.

  6. My Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer 7 months ago. He's been my best friend and #1 supporter since Day 1. It's hard to imagine what life will be like without him, but this song (and all of your music in general) has been helping me get through this time more than you'll ever know, so I just want to genuinely thank you for that. I heard this song for the first time live last week at the MN Country Club Fest and it definitely hit home SUPER hard man! Just bought tickets for your show at Red Rocks in October and can't wait! You're truly an incredible artist, keep it up dude…thanks again!

  7. This is the greatest most depressing song I have ever heard, and I listened to nothing but emo music from 8th to 12th grade. Having a 2 and 4 year old sons, this song made my ball my eyes out the first time I heard it. Painted a picture in my head the whole time listening to it.

  8. The last time I had a 2 way conversation with my dad before he passed, I happened to be mowing the yard when he called. This song came on in my mix a few weeks ago while I was mowing the yard, first time I had heard it. I wasn't emotionally prepared in either case….this song brings up so many emotions and cherished memories.
