My dad chose alcohol over being a present dad. Even now I’m 30 years old and it’s the same old story. But now I have a son of my own. He’s a year and a half old and my best friend. I love showing him the things I did as a kid. Helping him learn new things every day and watching him grow. I love him so much and don’t know how my dad didn’t feel the same way.
Listening to this while holding my 2 year old boy brought a tear to my eye. Fatherhood has been the best gift I could have ever gotten and I cant wait to experience everything that the future holds for him
