Thank you Lord Jesus for this precious treasure, Patrick Haynes who is such a rare and precious voice of Reformed scripture/history truth in these perilous times. Please strengthen him and his family and church to shine greatly in these very dark times – evil which seems to have recent roots from the 1800's reaping/manifesting awful fruits now in these times.
So many are turning away from the true, clear as the noonday sun Gospel taught in Scripture for another. If we reject the principle that it's Jesus and him alone that saves, we are lost and Christ is of no benefit to us. I'm still saddened by my dear friend who left our OPC reformed church for Eastern "orthodoxy" and now he desires to have his house blessed with holy water from a priest. It's absolutely jawdropping how far away that is from the declares statements of Scripture.
Thank you for your clear delineation of what Finney actually taught. I grew up in the church associated with Bethany House Publishing who published over an 100 of his sermons and his systematic theology book and praise God I am finally coming to understand how bad his theology was and how it has affected to much of modern evangelicalism. Thank you for exposing this.
