  1. How my father would have loved to see this. He was a ww2 veteran who was wounded in Burma and his life was saved first by his dead friend whose body shielded him and then by the nurses and doctors at the many places in India he was treated. He had a life long love of India, and the Indian people which showed both at his funeral in 1994 and then mum's in 2006. I served in the army too as a nurse, I served 'under 2 flags', and had the privilege to nurse a fellow QA who had nursed dad and without a very unusual surname, Elwell, she would not have known it was me who was his daughter. I am proud to be a Salvationist and proud that we have such a wonderful mission history which has become a worldwide recognised healthcare service for those with no resources of their own. God bless all who work there and may the love of Jesus for the whosoever shine forth in their work.
