Franklin and George Whitefield continue their debate over faith, virtue, and what truly saves a person. Franklin believes in reason …

  1. Who do you say He is??? That is the question right there….

Islam says Jesus is a prophet

JWs say Jesus is the archangel Michael

LDS say Jesus is literal offspring of their god and lucifers brother

But the truth is the only thing that matters. Jesus is the great I AM! He is God in the flesh. This is all that matters. Put your faith in the one true living God Jesus Christ.

  2. They didn’t believe in Christianity or god there were so many different Christian denominations in the American 13 colonies they didn’t believe in the same thing and half of them used the Bible to justify slavery and mislead it and misinterpreted and twisted for their political agendas in every nation was doing it all around the world everybody was they ignored God’s Commandments, the golden rule the sermon on the mount and John 3:16 and ignoring the gospels and just do what they want to do

  3. "Franklin believes in living a virtuous life"

That would be hilarious, if the truth didn't mean he's actually burning in eternal fire.

He was a Freemason and the leader of the Hellfire club, a secret society known for orgies and torture/murder. Bodies were found in the basement of his 200+ year old home just a few years ago. This was not a "good man".

Don't be fooled. Only those saved by grace through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ will be in heaven. Call it unfair. It doesn't matter. This is the truth. No one is good. Heaven isn't for good people. It's for forgiven people. Ben Franklin didn't believe in Jesus Christ, therefore he can't be forgiven.

  4. I'm with Franklin. If non-believers can live well, love well, and die well, what is it that Christianity insists they’re missing? Especially considering that, for all its promises, the Christian life seems no less burdened by fear, doubt, and confusion than any other.

The only thing I'm missing by not being a Christian is membership to a club that preaches love, compassion, and humility but whose legacy is littered with conquest, religious war, murder, genocide, and allegiance to irrational dogmas that offer nothing but handcuffs for the intellect.

  5. Remember he was a freemason. This is the opposite of what we see today happening. The world's trying to take us from jesus spiritually and mentally

If you ever even for a slight second I think that you're alone in this even with no people isolated in a dungeon
    John 14:25-31
"I have spoken these things to you abiding with you, But the comforter, the Advocate, the holy spirit, Who the father will send in my name, he shall teach you of all things, I have said to you shall remind you of ALL things, I leave peace to you; my piece I give to you. I do not give like this world gives, do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid 🥹.

I shall no longer speak many things with you. For the ruler of this world is coming, and he has no power over me, but he comes to show the world that I love my father. And I do all as he commands

    Come now let US leave"

You heard that I said to you that I am going away. And I am coming again to you. If you love me, you'd be happy that i'm going to my father for my father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it occurs that when it shall occur, you may believe ✝️❤️🔥

  6. The story is so true! Look inside yourself and make up your own mind! Don't let anyone sway your decision in either direction. it's yours and yours alone! Choose wisely and from your heart.

  7. Franklin is difficult to know. He wasn't a simple deist. He believed in the active providence of God. But… certainly left distance between his positions and the Anglican fellowship he lived with.

  8. Pretty sure. Ben Franklin's Hellfire club and rampant depravity were the reasons he didn't want to believe in. God. All atheism is just superstitious belief to assuage a guilty conscience

  9. LIFE IS SHORT
“For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James 4:14

    DEATH IS SURE
“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Heb. 9:27

    SIN THE CURSE
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Rom. 5:12

    CHRIST THE CURE
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Rom. 10:13

Sincerely pray this prayer: “Lord Jesus, be merciful to me a sinner. I do now receive you as my personal Saviour.”

  10. Whitefield was a convicted Calvinist. It's difficult to believe he would attribute the success of those converting during his preaching to persuasion and he would have understood that Franklin's resistance would have been related to a lack of God's election.

  11. Jesus never said” worship me”. He did say “I and the father are one” and “ before Abraham was, I am” but these are constantly misunderstood by people who see the universe through the lens of a material list. One has to really think of the universe as spirit giving rise to matter to make sense of those sayings.
“ many will come to me and say, Lord Lord, have we not prophesied and cast out demons in your name? And I will say to them be gone for me you workers of iniquity for I have never known you.” -Jesus
What gets called Christianity today is a cult of Barabbas (people who want a fighter and a killer, not a teacher and healer), and a congregation of merchants – those who think they will trade this for that, follow some rules go to church, then receive heaven.
Forget what you’ve been told and read the gospel like a child.

  12. Grace is God loving us and forgiving us even though we don’t deserve it. Grace is also what Jesus accomplished through dying on the wood roman cross to break the curse of the Law of the Old Testament which says cursed is anyone who is hung from a tree. Jesus’s blood was shed so we could be forgiven completely by God. Before going to the cross Jesus was scourged to the point His bones could be seen so that by His stripes we could be healed. Jesus did not deserve what happened to Him. Jesus obeyed God. When He broke the sabbath to heal people He was doing good. When Jesus was put on trial by the high priest and the Jewish elders they could not find anything to condemn Him for. None of their accusations were right. They finally condemned Him for saying that He is the Son of God. That was not a lie. A Prophecy written in the Old Testament says that God told the Messiah “Today I have become Your Father and You have become My Son.” Another prophecy was written that the Messiah would be Born in Bethlehem.” Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53 and the last three verses of Isaiah 52 talk about how the Messiah would be crucified and what that sacrifice would accomplish. Jesus was marred more than any other man. God loves Jesus but this was the cost so we would be permanently connected to God for eternity and to save us from hell and get us to Heaven. Jesus had said in different ways that He would be killed and He would be raised from the dead within three days. Jesus's body was placed in a tomb. His burial shroud and head cloth still exist today. It is called the Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium of Oviedo. If you want to learn how the Old Testament is more prophetic than you even thought possible, look up The Bible Code and Yeshua by Yacov Rambsel. Jesus Christ(Messiah) is Lord. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that anyone who calls on His name will not perish but have eternal life. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in Your heart that God raised Him from the death you will be saved. Jesus’s Body was placed in a tomb. On the Third day God raised Him from the dead. Jesus left the tomb and was seen alive by Peter, the Twelve, Over 500 brethren at once, James, all the apostles and Paul. Paul persecuted Christians by having the put on trial and put in Prison or to death, both men and women. Paul became a believer in Jesus when He was going to persecute more believers in Damascus and Jesus appeared and talked with Him. If you die for Jesus and the good news sake you will be saved.

  13. In the book of Hebrews, the Bible states in the volume of the book it is written of me to do the will O God, basically stating did the whole Bible is written about Jesus coming to do the father’s Will and how we need to respond to it
