Reading Frank Bartleman's account would be of interest to you. There was a lot going on prior to Azusa Street. Also, he insinuated that demonic influences came in quite heavily. I've seen that same sort of prelest whack out pentecostal churches with nutty manifestations. God is not the author of (this) confusion.
